  1. 12:50 He’s wrong about this. McDonald's in 1994, not by a "lady" as a generalized term. Liebeck, a 79-year-old woman, suffered severe third-degree burns when she spilled coffee purchased from a drive-thru. The coffee was served at an dangerously hot temperature (180-190°F), which caused extensive injuries requiring hospitalization and skin grafts. The case became a major cultural flashpoint, but contrary to popular belief, it was not a frivolous lawsuit.

  2. That man immediately should have ran away As soon as she told him her name was QaShontae H. Short.. that name alone just reeks of "I want to sue anything and everybody"..!! 🤣😅🤣😆😁

  3. This judge surely know what every 1L knows- that the woman who was burned by the coffee and sued was able to prove the coffee was hotter than it typically is, the cap was not put on so it would not come off when picked up, and it spilled on her in the car, where it went into the seat and gave her 3rd degree burns between her legs and including her groin. So, yes, she deserved the money which covered medical costs and emotional distress. Absolutely. Stop making fun of that woman. Also- Marable sent the case to circuit court and they said Marable had jurisdiction (damages minimum not met) so it went back to Marable and settled. FYI for anyone who was curious (like me).
