It's not them wanting to protect predators. It's about protecting the validity of the Constitution. Some people serve time then turn their life around and never get into trouble again. One guy I knew in high school was barely 18 and got charged and convicted of possession of child porn because the school police officer confiscated his phone and found nude pictures of a 17 year old who was also a senior just like us but she had a few months until she turned 18. He's a convicted sex offender. This topic needs more legal discussion because as they stated in the video, the law is way too broad as it's currently written.
