Kentucky State Police Trooper James Cameron Wright has finally been indicted by the feds for multiple civil rights violations, which were not only known by his chain of command, but some of which were personally reviewed and approved by the literal head of the Kentucky State Police. This includes beatings, perjury, and more. Kentucky civil rights attorney Chris Wiest gives us the scandalous details, including exclusive new bodycam footage of one of the incidents.

  1. Soo dang eager to beat someone, barking orders and not waiting for compliance before getting violent and clearly not actually thinking even remotely rationally.
When a trooper or officer has to fill out multiple reports of use of force isn't that a major flaming red flag?

  2. I'm constantly sickened by what people, officers in these instances, are capable of with no regard for human decency.
Even more that I passed all tests and was hired as a police officer but was fired my first day because my ex was afraid as a police officer I would have a higher power in court during our child custody case. Now I see she was probably right but I would have been a just officer that they lost by lying to get an order of protection to make me lose my career.
    This is horrendous.

  3. Kentucky isn't known for good police practices it is a known thing. Additionally, Kentucky State Police (KSP) troopers have faced federal charges related to civil rights violations. In one instance, a federal grand jury indicted one former and two current KSP troopers for violating individuals' civil rights while acting as troopers. Well lets see the Louisville Metro Police Dept. Was investigated by U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ). They investigated the Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) and found: Specifically, the DOJ's report found that LMPD:
Engaged in excessive force: This included unjustified neck restraints, unreasonable use of police dogs and tasers.
Used discriminatory policing practices: The report cited evidence of racial profiling against Black people.
Conducted unlawful searches: This included searches based on invalid warrants and unlawfully executing warrants without knocking and announcing.
Violated the rights of individuals engaged in protected speech: This involved infringing upon the rights of those critical of the police.
Failed to adequately address the needs of people experiencing behavioral health crises: The report highlighted inadequate responses to mental health crises and a lack of specialized training.

  4. That officer's behavior is brave, and exemplary.
(typing from one of the multiverses!)..& over here, we send officers!, like this one! to Earth, and some are like in that movie, Tenet!.. unfortunately, because we're a reflection of Earth, most of those officers will be backwards! during their duties!😖

  5. It should be the requirement for independent auditing of body cam footage. Random checks with no warning. The system that audits should be compromised partly of criminal defense attorneys (or similar representatives) and not just police reps.
