  1. FBI is offering an up to $50,000 reward for information that helps to find Rachel Louise Cooke, who was abducted while on a morning run near Austin, Texas in January 2002.

  2. the dad thinking she's in heaven and that's why he failed it… that's a red flag to me. Even more so that the mom just believes and defends it. I didn't suspect any family member in any way but that's weird to me

  3. I often think about Rachel, and check for updates a couple times a yr. I was her age at the time of her disappearance, and lived close to the area. My mother and her friends were on a horseback search team, looking for her. Georgetown was very safe back then, and still is.

  4. I've always wondered … she was yards from her home when last seen. Could someone had been waiting inside the house for her? Did she lock the door when she went for her run? If she left it open… someone who knew her could have been inside? Did this family hide a key outside? Could an ex boyfriend have known where this key was? (If the door was locked)… It just seems odd that she went on a 5 mile run and someone would have abducted her right by her house. I wish there were cameras back then like there are now.

  5. I see girls and young (and not so young) women running all the time. They have their earbuds in and listening to music, oblivious of what's going on around them. I see them and I think how easy it would be for someone to stop and just drag them into the car. They wouldn't even know what happened. It's sad that we can't enjoy the outdoors like men. But, it's a fact of life that there are some sick, evil people in this world. It's best to be aware.

  6. I grew up in Georgetown calling Mrs. Cooke Mom. I wish to God we could know what happened. So many people turned out for the search parties, she and her family were so important to the community.
Btw Mr. Maspero's Indecent Exposure charge was when he was coming home from our church picnic he was a bit drunk and stopped to pee in some bushes, but cops rolled up on him.

  7. Find the three misfits that were driving around. Yes, they're misfits for if they were not involved they would have come forward to make sure they were no longer persons of interest and didn't get hauled in for questioning. Good guys have nothing to hide and would want to help. They're your guys.

  8. Texas is a Scary azz Place for women . women are always being snatched or dissapear never to be seen again the lucky ones found in ditches to be buried by family .

houston to galveston 30 missing women on a 50 mile stretch it’s honestly sad .

and the the political stances of NO ABORTION EXEMPTION FOR RAPE OR INCEST !!

so it’s not like they’re not aware of this kinda stuff it’s honestly extremely prevalent there .
a red state an easy cary state .

i live in blue mn that would never happen here women are actually protected here . no way it should have gotten to 30 stop worrying about the “ mexicans “ n do the damn job
women in texas are second citizens . these ole good ole boys in on it too . growing up in their little small town like that one movie “ spit on my grave “
    🙄

  9. -Don’t ever have a smile that could light up anything.
-Don’t ever have any infectious quality.
-Don’t ever be lovely or vivacious.
-Don’t ever be pretty or athletic.
    -Don’t be a stunner.

  10. Hmm the ex boyfriend seems plausible. He might have waited for her by her house knowing she was in town…caught her by surprise just pleading to talk…she tried to leave and he "accidentally" kills her or …strangles her? He looked like a big strong guy so maybe didnt have any trouble getting rid of the body. He just sounds like he didn't want anyone to have her…4 yrs of my life…I mean she was 19…so they were together as early teens? Just seems weird. 😕
