21 years minimum and the attorney is that happy about getting it? It must be really difficult to get a sentence for that many years because that's like getting a vacation and then set free to do this again possibly… no way! I'd change my name, move out of state, change my appearance as well as my kids, etc. That's crazy! I'm really glad she survived and gets to be with her boys
I've seen a lot of comments condemning the boyfriend and I understand where those are coming from, but you have to realize that he was most likely in shock and we don't always think properly when in shock. In my honest opinion, I feel like his lack of action probably played a part in saving her life because if he would have started approaching then that piece of s*** could have started stabbing her or inflicting other sorts of injuries that could have been fatal. However, we all see that she walked away from this. I feel like all sorts of things played a part in that. Lastly, think about it this way: how often do people face situations that are life or death & someone running you off the road and trying to slit your throat on a daily or even an every now and again basis… ? I'm sure this was a first for them and hindsight is 20/20 so don't be so quick to judge.
Why not life in prison? Only 21 years in prison is not justice for the victims, especially Leslie.

Mine was super jealous, controlling, manipulative, obsessed with me, possessive that was suffocating me and emotionally draining me so when I chose to leave (several arguments and nonsensical verbal abusive talks) he would change it this never lasted and then again the crazy arguments for no valid reason and one day I just had enough courage to get out and never looked 👀 back except to make sure he was not following me (which he did when he was staking me during the day time and at night). These people are sick in the head like demon possessed once they allowed that evil side of them to control their mind and they will stop at nothing to end your life or harm you badly!!! My advice is run for your life and please once you notice a red flag 🚩 just call the cops 👮🏽♀️ 👮🏿♂️ 👮🏽 get an order of protection, leave the country or city you live in and rebuild silently. So sorry for anyone mourning someone they love!
