Serial killer’s daughter shares her experience growing up with the ‘Happy Face Killer’

Melissa Moore had an idyllic upbringing and loved spending time with her father, Keith Jesperson. Years later, she found out her dad was none other than the man known as the “Happy Face Killer.” Now, there’s a new show on Paramount+ about their relationship.

  1. I'm currently reading Kerri Rawson's (BTKs daughter) book, A Serial Killer's Daughter and it really is fascinating to see how these men can hide this entire side from their families, and how blindsided the family is when the crimes come to light because the killer is finally arrested.

  2. This woman is grifting and living off her father's story like it is a valid form of employment. Even going so far as to ghost write a book for a mother murderer, lies included, in search of fame. Enough already Melissa. You are not a star. You are not a celebrity. Maybe work FOR the victims instead of earning for yourself. You may come across as genuine then, but until then. Sit down and shut up.

  3. Melissa Moore has made a living off her dad's crimes. She's been leveraging her connection to her dad for financial gain for years and years. There's sharing your story to heal….. And then there's participating in multiple scripted and unscripted TV shows, a book, a podcast… Like, we get it. You've shared. I'll never forget seeing her go to a victims family member, and their home, and seeing that family member break down at their kitchen accusing her of profiting of the murder of their loved one. Melissa…. Enough.

  4. I'm frankly put off by this kind of interview and Melissa's willingness to go on camera, prance around in different locations, this kind of "sharing your experience" stuff. What truly is the point? Was she financially compensated for this interview? I cannot fathom actually wanting anybody to know I'm the daughter of a killer and probably making a buck by doing it. She frankly probably dodged a bullet by not really living a "normal" day in and day out life with this man, father or not. Had he been around her for any length of time, sooner or later, he'd probably want to confide something to her he should not, or maybe she'd say something to him in conversation that would set him off. It sounds like it didn't take much from a woman to set this guy off anyway, though he probably picked women who were likely to do just that, who knows.

  5. Its interesting to see and read all the morally accomplished persons commenting on these channels about everthing from how to pronounce names, talking about familymembers awful deeds publically and how one should or not react to them and all other sorts of ethics. With this in mind its crazy that the world looks like it does. It should be a perfect place where everybody is dancing, holding hands and treats each other consideratly.

  6. That's what pschopaths do. They find out what they want, give it to you and then pull it back to keep you "hooked", give you that little shot of dopamine. They know exactly what they are doing and why.

  7. All financial gain should go to the victim's children and family members not someone who was born into this filth… I don't even see her relevance in the grand scheme of this tragedy on her father's hands.

  8. Killers family’s are victims too, some drinks some do drugs some talk about it it’s a survival mechanism. You can’t blame them for the evil someone else did. This documentary might help someone to detect a killer.

  9. There's nothing wrong with loving your relative NO MATTER WHAT they've done! That's NOT toxic IN MY OPINION, it's FAMILY! So to say she didn't "want" to love him seems to be for the public more than anything.. 😕 that's sad! Regardless his actions that's still HER FATHER!! She loves him, that's to be expected, his actions weren't against her! It's normal to care about your father no matter! 😢
