The current situation in Los Angeles has definite parallels with the plot line of The Walking Dead. That television series takes place within a zombie apocalypse, where death and mayhem are everywhere and predatory, opportunistic humans are just as much a threat to public safety as are the cannibalistic zombies. In the real-life LA of 2025, dangerous criminals are likewise preying upon and exploiting the vulnerable, displaced residents. It's a sad case of reality mirroring horror fiction.
