For women in the Orthodox Jewish community, seeking a divorce is no easy feat, especially because the husband needs to also sign off on it. In New York, members of the community who weren’t granted a divorce turned to Rabbi Mendel Epstein, the “Prodfather,” for help in getting their husbands to sign the divorce document, even if it meant resorting to violence.

did you say I wouldn’t expect it in the orthodox Jewish community? Oh no on the contrary, I absolutely would they control everything and those tunnels. I’m not shocked at all and neither should anybody else.

This is really really sickening, I'm not sure why there has to be so much violence and why can't the families take care of their own problem by standing up for their daughters instead of involving this rabbi who's supposed to be a religious man and who is supposed to be teaching to be peaceful and loving your neighbors and loving everyone including those that you don't like or you disagree with.

Honestly this man is advocate for women these are horrible men I don’t feel sorry for them I feel sorry the rabbi got caught now who is gonna help these women now?! The system isn’t that’s for sure

Well when you hold a person hostage from being free this is what happens. As it should. These women are mostly raised this way and end up in violent horrible marriages. Then they are forced to suffer if they want to move on. In the name of a religion. As usual

Not a good guy. Likely, there was another price for the women to request the divorce from the husbands.

Everyone would accuse a priest of requesting the price of a woman or child's body for such a service… But why not a Rabbi? I mean, a practice is to suckle on a boy's parts when going in for circumcision.

Wonder how many women he pressured into sleeping with in exchange for his services. And I wonder how many children he also requested.

Why wouldn't it be expected? No man is Good. Only God is Good. Its in the bible. Orthodox Jews follow strict traditions. Tradition & ritualism. Gods spirit is not in this religeon. They rejected Jesus, choosing the law over the Savior. This rabbis methods were cruel but so eere many other rabbis. Just not to this extent. You dont even wanna now what happens at circumcisions. Its disgusting. The rabbi was never a man of God. My dad is a man of God. This man is evil.
