Nurse allegedly convinces friend she’s terminally ill and kills her for insurance payout

This Week on True Crime News The Podcast: Meggan Sundwall allegedly spent years convincing her friend Kacee Terry that Kacee was terminally ill, then injected her with a lethal dose of insulin to “end her suffering.” Police say Kacee never had cancer, and that Meggan was motivated by a $1.5 million life insurance policy she thought she would receive after her friend’s death.

  1. I don't understand why Kacee thought she had cancer. What type of cancer? What test was run to determine if she had cancer? Nurses are not qualified for that task. Why didn't she have chemotherapy? Visit an oncologist? Have regular doctor visits? Did she show signs of cancer? Sickness? Alopecia? Weight loss?

  2. About the gross coworker trying to poison that poor girl, I hate being a woman in the workforce. There is just no end to creeps and it's obnoxious and jobs don't give af.

  3. Omg 😱 what a most horrible story!!! Just when I thought I heard everything! How crazy! 😡 monstrous👺
    Motive??? Thrill kill?? Psychopath sadism?

  4. This story is absolutely wild, the level of deceit is shocking 🤯 Truly heartbreaking for Kacee's loved ones. We break down complex cases like this fast over at 60 Second Sleuth if you're into quick true crime bites!

  5. I always watch from the UK, there are some strange people in this world….pleased to see Alison with you again Ana….and off topic I love the shelving you both have, keep trying to persuade my hubby we need something like that for all my books…..falls on deaf ears every time 😅 💜

  6. How did she access insulin’s without a subscription or a drs diagnosis? I believe she trusted her as a caregiver. It is scary how many caregivers take advantage of people.

  7. I’ve been hypoglycemic for years and I’ve had a reading of 43 it was an absolutely horrible experience. If you’re a “nurse” administering a “sick diabetic” insulin you’d be monitoring that persons blood sugar so her lack of nursing skills and thinking this would fly are just ridiculous.. poor woman suffered mentally and physically for years. My all time so called favorite life insurance moment in true crime involving a recorded call from Nancy Brophy who called the detectives and asked for a note for the insurance company saying they needed it to prove she’s been cleared as a suspect in order to receive the life insurance.. she’s insisting it’s ridiculous because it’s only $40k. But she secretly had more than that policy, which she bought and sold to herself…. 🤦🏻‍♀️
The detective was like ummm I’ve never heard of that. 🚩LOL omg these people think they are so smart 🫠

  8. @Allison Triessl. LOW insulin cause high blood glucose (sugar) which takes a long time to unalive you.
High insulin causes a life ending Low blood glucose.
I wouldn’t trust anything being said in this podcast.

  9. We would actually have to hide our food from a doctor who would eat our snacks and lunches. She would come in and devour everything even treats that patients had given us.

  10. So happy to see Alison back! One of my favorite guests ❤️ What a fascinating episode – so sad there was no further medical intervention to explore her fake diagnosis and that it went so far as to take her life.

  11. 2:20 Now wait a minute, you put the blame where it belongs, if the victim was stupid and brought about their own death, you speak on it, you tell the truth, you admit the error and wrongdoings 🤷🏾‍♂️ reminds me of Kannika Jenkins, walking around stumbling in a hotel drunk and walking into a dark freezer and freezing to death within it

  12. I always look forward to a new episode every week. Thank you Ana Garcia for the update 👏. This case is just heart breaking 💔. Your Kenyan fan right here 🇰🇪 😊
