  1. Her attorneys have done nothing to prepare for this case. Verdict will be overturned on appeal. Why is the court allowing family law attorneys to handle a murder trial. They clearly don’t know what they are doing.

  2. I don't intend to pass judgment on her as I have not seen this case tried yet. However, her attorneys are incompetent. She doesn't have a chance in Hades.

  3. These two defense “attorneys” obviously got their license from the bottom of a crackerjack box!!!!! This girl is DONE before the case even gets started and her own attorneys are doing ZERO to try and save what life she has left!!! She deserves punishment but she also deserves a fair trial!!!! This is crazy!!!!!

  4. 𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒈𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒓𝒚 𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒂𝒔 𝒂𝒏 𝑨𝑫𝑼𝑳𝑻. 𝑫𝒐 𝒂𝒅𝒖𝒍𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒑𝒂𝒚 𝑨𝑫𝑼𝑳𝑻 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒆𝒒𝒖𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆𝒔

  5. Im not a psychologist but I can’t help but notice Carley seems very composed when her mother’s name is mentioned but cries about being in solitary confinement.

  6. Prior to any hearing…

Carly: I wanna wear the nice pants and shirt.

Defense Attorneys: Noooo, we want you to wear a dress. The girlier the better. It will make you look like a small and innocent little girl. Also, you need to look unhinged as we are going down the insane route.

  7. It was a 'thrill kill'. The thrill will be gone as the years pass and all there is to look forward to is growing old and forgetting what the outside world looks like.

  8. This is becoming a case that will be cited in future court hearings where a defence was so incredibly unprepared that it sent a juvenile to a life sentence before she even had a trial. It's horrendous. She may not be innocent, and most of us will agree on that, but please, give her a fair trial… she's a child.

  9. I understand the extend of the crime. Tragic, and there's no way around that. However, has the judge already made up his miind? I'm struggling to reconcile that this young lady is getting a proper defence, and by US constitution, she derserves one regardless of what she is charged with. The defence is completely failing this young woman. Give her a decent defence, and THEN let the cards play out. It feels as if she's already been buried.

  10. She's young yeah..I get it..very intelligent so we're told..knows right from.wrong..its wrong to kill your mother and try kill your step dad..then gloat and show your friend your mom's dead body…there's definitely something missing upstairs..but I wouldnt say she's insane !! She's dangerous..guilty 40 years no parole

  11. This “child” is a sick person. To murder someone who brought you into this world, gave you life and you take hers? Rot in prison, C U Next Tuesday

  12. What was the purpose of the hearing on a drug screen? This was a huge waste of time and paper. The attorney should have responded to the motions instead of wasting time on the purpose of the drug screen. Seems like nobody really cares what happens to her.

  13. How much more could these defense lawyers be any less prepared? Are they really lawyers, have they ever tried a case before because their lack of investigation & filing paperwork in a timely manner are deplorable! It's like they were expecting the prosecution to do all their work for them or maybe they want her found guilty? Either way they are doing a horrible job of it!

  14. High potency THC is ALWAYS involved in these cases. Legalization has caused this crisis. The greedy government allows the cannabis industry to run wild with excessively high potency products like wax, dabs and vapes that are causing psychosis in young people all over the country. The government knows and the marijuana industry knows yet they keep legalizing it in more and more states. There will be many, many more of these horrible cases to come. It is poison to the developing brain. We already have enough people with mental health problems in this country. We don’t need to keep creating more, especially teens and young adults. STOP THE INSANITY

  15. This child is mentally unwell and thus her ability to be held criminally responsible is compromised even further. She is developmentally not an adult which means she shouldn't be held criminally responsible (legally and medically)and this is further complicated and compounded by her co-morbidity (mental illness or drug and alcohol disorder). This does not mean there aren't consequences…just that you treat illness rather than respond by incarcerating an ill child in prison which is not a therapeutic environment.
