Nah, B+ for Mr. Welch’s. Dude said "I don't answer questions," but then he was a motor mouth. He also didn't make it clear that the frisk was without consent. If he would had shut up, he definitely could have gotten them on prolonging the detention, but if half the time, it was he extending the conversation.

It's the job of the police to conduct an investigation within their lawful bounds. It's not the people's responsibility to help them with that investigation.

I like how the cop calls it a “lawful order” to demand this gentleman take field sobriety test when field sobriety tests are not required in the state of New York. It’s impossible for that to be a “lawful order”
I would bet any money when these go back to the station that joke about how many people they got or tried to get to make their arrest numbers.
