  1. The convicted should never get to make a choice on which punishment they would prefer. Surely that is ridiculous. It's an interesting take on the notion of justice. But are these real sentences that are enforcable in law? It seems highly unusual (you don't tend to see other judges doing this.)

  3. We really need this kind of 'justice' in the courtroom. Not everything requires jail. I can almost guarantee this is wayy more effective than the usual punishment. And as he said, he gives them their choice
