  1. Bro she is 14 and he's 18 . That's statutory rape in the laws eyes. It's terrible about his daughter and all that's horrible. But if you break the law then you will face consequences of their actions.

  2. BTW the "boyfriend" is one God-awful ugly SOB. She was wayyyyyyyy out of his league. Man……he's creepy-ugly. Like, his own mother prob thought he was ugly. Ugh

  3. I think the stepdad had a thing for Megan, didn't like her with other boys. I think she and he had it out that day and when he caught her leaving and seeing the note, he flipped. He killed her, and disposed of the body. He wiped her phone clean, likely because of incriminating texts between them. If Megan called Murbarger, it was to tell him she might need help. How likely is it that he would show up to her house and just kill her right there when he couldn't be sure anyone could come home? Or how would he take the body out of the house into his car unnoticed either? it just doesn't make sense. If the step dad did it her body could have been rolled in a blanket and stored in the basement under junk a short time until he could figure out how and when to move her. It seems more likely that someone living in the home killed Megan. Her words that she 'could never be happy' there sealed it for me. It's her stepdad, imo.

  4. “Brodey Ian Murbarger, 24, was arrested Wednesday, October 8, 2020, in the 2014 murder of 15-year-old Megan Nichols whose body was found nearly three years ago in a shallow grave in southeastern Illinois.”

  5. We all know that boy killed her but politicians kids always get away with everything, including murder. The cop needs to be in a position where he has to resign for this. Covering up your child’s murder will just cause him to murder again.

  6. Her whereabouts remained a mystery for three years until human remains were found on December 26, 2017. The remains were found in a rural location in Wayne County, Illinois, FBI Public Information Officer Brad Ware previously told Dateline. One month later, on January 26, 2018, authorities positively identified the remains as belonging to Megan.
Brodey Murbarger was indicted on three counts of first degree murder, one count of concealment of homicidal death and two counts of home invasion. The documents show he’s accused of strangling and suffocating Megan and burying her in a shallow grave.
