Idaho Murders: Bryan Kohberger’s Lawyer Pushes Court to Unseal Grand Jury Proceedings

The lawyer representing Bryan Kohberger filed a motion requesting the court to unseal materials related to grand jury proceedings that led to an indictment against the accused student murderer. Anne C. Taylor filed the motion on May 19, just days before Kohberger would appear in court for his arraignment. Kohberger was indicted and charged with the November 2022 murders of four University of Idaho students. The Law&Crime Network’s Sierra Gillespie and legal analyst Julie Rendelman discuss why Taylor may be seeking these materials and what it could mean for Kohberger’s defense at trial.

  1. Okay I figured out about Papa Rodger okay number one his post is probably not posting now number to this looks like to be a WWII uniform possibly a German but Trace his family tree back and see what family member this Papa Rodger number three this could be an animated drawing of kohberger himself now when did Papa Rogers quit posting

  2. If Kaylee and Maggie were murdered first upstairs and killer came downstair went into Xana and Ethan room which means Dylan saw him coming out of Xana room reason he didn't see her
She didn't call 911 till noon people were walking and out of the rooms destroying evidence unintentionally if he had ran after her she would have called 911 immediately

  3. We all kept saying how we wanted the cameras on Kohberger more than the judge and others in the courtroom. Apparently, the cameramen were reading the comments because I notice how they keep the cameras on him more after we all complained during the first court appearances.

  4. Fun fact, States with the death penalty have the highest rate of violent crime and murder. execution at the hands of the government does not deter anyone from committing murder. By the time you've decided to take the life of another human being, you're already gambling with consequences that you don't really care about because you're either too arrogant to understand capture is inevitable, or they want to go down in a blaze of glory with a fan club. meanwhile, innocent men like Ryan Ferguson get put on Death Row (fortunately exonerated in time to escape being killed by men in government uniform) or hanged like the unfortunate Tim Evans in England, where the actual murderer actually was a prosecution witness in the death penalty trial. I'm utterly heartbroken for bereaved families, but the death penalty is illogical, inhumane, a relic of religious myth from the Iron Age and only profits very expensive lawyers.

  5. The defense wants it all turned over now, so they can see how much proof there is against BK, so he can decide whether or not he wants to plead guilty. That was the entire reason why he stood silent, so he could change his plea to guilty later if the defense found there was overwhelming evidence against him. Just like his role model BTK did.

  6. It's mind blowing to me how many people in these comments do not have a clue how law works. They can tell you straight up what's going on and you twist it into something it isn't. They are legally entitled to every single piece of information, and new information as it becomes available, that the prosecution has. It is up to the defense to dig in and decide if any of it is exculpatory. The gag order has nothing to do with the sharing of discovery between attorneys.

  7. Unless they have his blood and dna on the murder victims/scene or has the murder victims dna at his home, car, storage or have the murder weapon it’ll be hard to convict him. Using only digital signals won’t be enough, they could charge him with stalking. They need strong evidence to convict him

  8. Let’s hope the prosecutors have enough evidence against him to lock him up or get the DP.
By the looks of it so far his legal team seems confident. One mistake by prosecution and he can walk free, presuming he is the murderer.
