    This is what a law man does, but he never knows when things can go bad. I will pray for him and all the other officers, who stand between us and the people who mean us harm.

    Mr Dempsey is so blessed to survive this injury. It also goes to show what a fighter he must be! He’s been through Hell and he got all the way through it and has come out the other side. Ok so glad you made it sir!

    Amazing story, Im sad he had to go through all of that. What a miracle of medicine and fast acting of all involved. Wish him and his family all the best in the future

    This man, and his family have gone above and beyond anything they originally signed up for the day he took an oath to defend the community at large! I thank them all for their dedication because it takes a great deal of courage to be a part of law enforcement!!! 🤦‍♀️✌️🤟🤞🦋🇺🇸

    Stories like this are the reason for why I get so angry at people who say they “hate” the police and that they’re “corrupt”! Just like in the military, police are upholding the law and protecting their fellow citizens, yet they’re still treated like 💩. I’m SMH! 🤦‍♀️✌️🤟🤞🦋🇺🇸

    I remember my mom listening to the police scanner all night when my dad was working county, hoping not to hear something awful. My mom kept her light on until he came home, so I could never sleep until I saw her light was off.
