He dragged in so many other people as well to sell this con to her, but when it falls down to ones own morals… trying to scam the insurance company, she knew was just flat out wrong. And 1st major red flags… no millionaire just announces that they're millionaires and asking for marriage only after 4 mths!
She was naive and extremely gullible, but those are the types a con artist preys upon!
The guy targeted her for her naivety… that she fell for his LUDICROUS mad cow disease schtick is STRAIGHT out of a Hollywood movie… and I mean this LITERALLY! Eating MONKEY BRAINS so not to offend his host… this is CRIBBED almost VERBATIM from Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom! SHE may not she may not be familiar with the film… but NOT ONE of all those kids and grandkids she mentioned have NEVER WATCHED one of the BIGGEST BLOCKBUSTER film trilogies ever made; yeah right…GREAT STORY! However, even if by some bizarre circumstances NONE of these people have ever watched Temple of Doom, there’s that INSURANCE FRAUD thingy… even a naive person would understand that INSURANCE FRAUD is a CRIME! This NEVER crossed her mind while signing to collect on SEVEN insurance policies worth $7 million. Having SEVEN INSURANCE POLICIES is sketchy and a HUGE red flag; this guy is supposed to be rich, so why did he need all ill gotten wealth? Then she lies to the Federal agents AFTER they’ve been arrested…TWICE! The PANIC ROOM, mad cow disease from eating monkey brains, SLITTING a cartel boss’ throat, the ABSURD disguises, and applying for a fake passports… PLEASE PEOPLE! For her to be unaware of his malfeasance she she either has a very low IQ or dementia. At some point she became his conspirator; and NOT after the fact. Probably after they told the kids, the ones who NEVER saw an Indiana Jones movie. Perhaps she’s the MOST MORONIC person in history, became a willing participant when she signed insurance policies, that by her own admission, SHE KNEW were fraudulent in order to collect on them. The guy was is a lying scumbag; and not even a GOOD at it; but didn’t abuse her and she wasn’t afraid of him, so se should have contacted the FBI.
It’s interesting that HE was concerned with being recognized but didn’t care if she was. If it makes her feel any better I’m 99.9% sure that if this IDIOTIC scheme worked, then he would have ditched her in the jungle and taken those millions to some tropical island to find the HOTTEST bikini clad twenty year olds a sad old man with $7 million dollars could buy.

He got off well actually. He faked his own death, committed insurance fraud, falsified documents, lied to police and was on the run for over a year and a half. He did a lot and still ended up with only 14 years in jail and released earlier than that for good behavior. He's definitely a psychopath and extremely calculated and manipulative. When he gets out I guarantee he's going to be doing the same thing, duping and playing people for money.
