  1. Why would they stop and arrest him if he was so close to where they wanted him to go and he was TURNING HIMSELF IN? There was no reason for that.
I get wanting safety but that’s ridiculous. Plus, the reason why they were wanting charges brought against him for defending himself against a dangerous criminal – wow talk about wrongful arrest.

  2. There’s so many felons on the run especially in the EAST BAY, which is full of criminals. I’m from the Bay Area. Ridiculous, he’s HELPING THE STORT STAFFED POLICE DEPARTMENT. 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️

  3. Im sorry if I am repeating myself in the comments, but this topic really irks me. Voters need to get these DAs, judges, prosecutors out of office. They constantly dismiss charges, give plea deals, let repeat offenders and bail jumpers out on bail etc. They are more concerned about their conviction rates and political careers than the victims. If one of their loved ones was the victim, the suspect would remain locked up

  4. Are they kidding he was doing their job for them an this is how they treat him it’s bad enough that he had to shoot a man an they just add to his angst
    So ridiculous 🤷‍♀️🙄

  5. Charles Price was doing his job—risking his life to apprehend a known felon with gun charges—when he was arrested by Newark police in California and charged with murder. Those charges were eventually dropped, but the damage was already done. The emotional and financial toll on Mr. Price and his family is something no one should have to endure, especially for doing the kind of work that helps keep our communities safe.

It’s easy to sit back and judge when you don’t understand what fugitive recovery agents go through. These are people who step into dangerous situations every day, often picking up the slack when law enforcement can’t or won’t. As the podcast pointed out, these agents are catching people others won’t even try to deal with—and they do it knowing the risks involved.

Instead of criticizing or jumping to conclusions, we should be supporting someone like Mr. Price, who put himself on the line to protect others. My heart goes out to both families affected by this tragedy, but it’s important to remember that Mr. Price didn’t set out to hurt anyone—he was doing his best in an incredibly tough situation. He deserves understanding, not judgment.

  6. In most states, this issue has been addressed, such as Virginia, where I am a Fugitive recovery agent.
You must go through training and retain a license through the department of criminal Justice.

  7. God Bless you and your family. People who are not in this industry have no idea what this job entails, the long hours, the days spent away from family, the dangers you have to face without the backup that police officers have. I commend you and your bravery, especially going back to it after all that you were put through. Stay safe out there, and now that the majority of Law Enforcement officers out there know this was a self defense shooting and would never in a million years ever charged you for defending yourself.

  8. These guys shouldn't have the power to blow people away…
This is a man who claims ptsd which makes him unable to lift heavy objects, so he makes his wife do it.
Sounds like a cry baby who shouldn't have the power to kill.
    Re-Arrest this clown..
Anyone would think this is the victims family having a cry…

  9. First off I would like to say sorry to the entire Price family for the injustice they had to encounter. I am a 49-year-old man who made bad choices, and decisions as an immature kid that led me running from authorities, not wanting to face the consequences of my crimes. Today, I see I needed to be put away I was a danger to self as well as to the entire community. Today, I can say I am a habilitated man and a productive member of society working as a drug and alcohol counselor and seeing this story made me sick to my stomach, charging Mr. Price for second degree murder for defending himself and protecting society from this dangerous person is preposterous. Something definitely has to change on how they treat the ones that protect and serve. Thank you for your service. Mr. Price thoughts and prayers go out to you and your entire family.

  10. Mr. Price was just doing his job. The video footage clearly showed he was in self defense. It’s sad that someone lost their life in this situation but he should not have pulled a gun out and pointed it knowing he was in the wrong anyways for being a fugitive with previous gun charges.

  11. Woooooowz, I swear this the same man that got my azz a few years ago lol. Ima keep it a buck, that man and his partner were madd respectful, they hit me with the taser too and my jazz deserved it lolz. They even let me call my BM a couple times on the way and stopped and got me a meal and some cigs before I went into the jail. Aye Mr Price I'm glad you still around doin your thing and I appreciate the respect you gave my azz that day, keep your head up and go and get yo bag with those clowns!

  12. Um. If anyone is anywhere near or already involved in a civil suit against any other party, soooooo many parts of an interview will be unintentionally useful in a deposition. Jus’ sayin’.

  13. @perthgurl_6024 I’m well aware of what PTSD is and how it can affect people. But not who have it go through all you stated. There are different levels of it, you only mentioned the ones that would hinder a person from continuing an occupation such as Fugitive recovery or law enforcement. There’s many different elements to it and many can stay working in those fields with PTSD. So my pint was don’t judge someone if you don’t know exactly what they’re going through and how it truly affects them. Saying he should change careers when you don’t have a clue to how it affects him is insensitive and a little presumptuous. There are far too many who have PTSD and you would never know of it. And many work in public safety, which includes fire, medical and law enforcement. So I was only trying to say don’t blanket all who have PTSD in the same category of symptoms. I have close friends who served and fought who have PTSD but are completely competent as cops and have never had it affect what they do. It’s circumstantial and case by case. Take care.

  14. I am so sorry you had to go through this! Not acceptable the injustice done to you, but I am glad you made it through! Best wishes to you and your family!

  15. This man should not have been treated as he was. He was coming in to surrender so why the big show of arresting him. In front of a school bus stop; in front of his daughter and then leaving her alone crying not understanding the situation. Changes need to take place because he and his family does not deserve this treatment.

  16. I am ABSOFRICKENLUTLY DISGUSTED WITH THE "JUSTICE SYSTEM" IN THIS COUNTRY!😡🤬😡🤬
My prayers are with Mr. & Mrs. Price & their children. I cried hearing his that poor 15 yr old daughter saw the entire event, along with her peers 😭😭😭🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗That broke my heart.
Again, Prayers for the Price family and friends. 🙏🇺🇸🙏🇺🇸🙏🇺🇸🙏🇺🇸🙏🇺🇸🙏

  17. Wow. Talk about the IN-justice system. Can’t believe the evil people that get protected and are allowed to walk this planet after serious offenses. But this man gets arrested protecting himself and others!!! This is sad and shameful on our “justice system”

  18. So why were U.S. Marshals NOT brought in on capturing this fugitive?? When bail recovery agents are used, who pays them for this "service"? What state agency grants bail recovery agents a license to do this? There a gazillion questions around this whole thing.

  19. The “Murder Charge” or Second Degree murder charge. Is absolutely RIDICULOUS! To have to defended yourself against an armed felon. Who it turns out actually fired at this Bail-bondsmen! Absolutely disgusting behavior on the part of the courts. This would NEVER fly in Arizona where I live. California is absolutely disgusting these days! This is a sickening case, these liberal fools in government in California have ruined the state! My heart goes out to this gentleman the Bail Bondsmen, and to his family. God bless you brother stay strong. Second degree murder this is an abomination of a case California is ran by Anti-American FOOLS! California needs to respect American laws this is disgusting and disgraceful for California to act in this way. God bless him I’m sickened by this. Come to Arizona brother that wouldn’t have happened here. God bless you all!
    🙏❤️✝️

  20. Luis Bolaños! One of my favorite guests! I understand the role of fugitive recovery agents as adjuncts to the law enforcement agents. My concern is with the level of training they receive — especially with instances in which they are forced to resort to the use of deadly force!

I noticed that the incident referred to here, happened inside an apartment multi-unit building. As a resident of an apartment complex myself, I dread the thought of being caught in the corridor between the agent and the fugitive. There is also the possibility of having a stray bullet penetrate the wall of the apartment of an innocent individual and finding its deadly mark! What training do these FRA's receive to mitigate such dangers to the public?

  21. Bounty hunting should be illegal but since the US is a 3rd world country in a designer suit, here we are. Law enforcement in the US receive more than enough funding to do their jobs. Small states receive more in law enforcement funding than entire countries. Absolutely ZERO reason bounty hunting should be allowed

  22. Wait though, Ana, since when does any type of LEO not announce himself, tase a fugitive in the back, chase him into a room he’s blind to, without his partner and the fugitive ends up shot down like a dog? It’s unconscionable to me!!! ✌️🤟🤞🇺🇸🦋

  23. Absolutely abhorrent how the police had the manpower and force to take down basically "the good guy" but couldn't put the same effort into apprehending an armed fugitive.
My heart goes out to their 15 year old daughter who was traumatized by the overreaction of the police.
I hope the lawyer sues the police force for what they put Charles and his family through.

Thank you to Charles for your bravery and courageous actions … you are indeed a Hero and not a murderer.
That scumbag played the FAAFO game and he found out.
I pray you find some peace knowing you were justified to protect yourself and I hope that some day the Criminal Justice System becomes the VICTIM Justice System.
Society needs more people like you Mr Price …God bless 🙏 ❤
