‘Doomsday Prophet’ Chad Daybell Didn’t Want Autopsy Performed On Dead Wife, Coroner Testifies

The coroner who examined Tammy Daybell’s body when she was found dead by her husband, Chad Daybell, said the “doomsday prophet” told her Tammy had been “feeling off” lately. Chad told the coroner, Brenda Dye, he had moved Tammy’s body because she had fallen off the bed — Dye admitted she found it odd that a dead body had fallen off the couple’s bed but claimed when questioned about it, Chad said he must have pulled the top sheet too hard when he rolled over in his sleep. Chad and his new wife, Lori Vallow Daybell, are accused of murdering Tammy, along with Lori’s two children Tylee Ryan and J.J. Vallow.

  1. This coroner had no clue what she was doing. She didn’t sound like she had a clue and she didn’t have any confidence at all. It didn’t even seem based on her testimony like she was even qualified to do anything medical.

  2. If she could stop smacking her lips before answering every question that would be amazing! I do not blame her alone she was elected and is unqualified who went off the word of the police. All around fail and we vote people into office that are not medically trained doctors. Most likely there isn't a budget for these small places nor people who want to live here and do the job. Do not think she should lose her job or get all the hate but this is definitely a lesson to push in the future when she feels something is off

  3. @21:41 – the interesting part of her statement was Chad said Tammy’s feet were wrapped in the blanket/sheet – she must of fallen & hit her head. That red flag 🚩- statement- she said, Chad said she likes to sleep on the edge of the bed w/ her feet 🦶 out- she was going through menopause. Well she def should loose her job.

  4. This calls into question every single death case under her watch. If she so quickly took the word of Mr Dumbell in the suspicious a$s death of a woman in her 40’s, what other cases did she do this on? How many other murders has she not bothered to look into? She dropped the ball so hard on this one and it makes me wonder if she should have the job she currently has.

  5. A week long training to be a Coroner😖 what the heck goes down in America for professional training. Only the most trained people get these kinds of positions . Even her voice sounds uncertain. I’m feeling mortified for Tammy Daybell. Murdered by her husband and let down by the ???? Professionals. RIP Tammy

  6. I do not understand the rules of coronars in the US. It's crazy? How can someone with one weeks training "investigate'?
Here we need police, paramedics and finally a md who certifies the death. Not some elected …eh. person

  7. For all of you talking about how the coroner is inexperienced, etc. that’s on the people who elected her. It’s an elected position. The voters need to weigh in on this to make changes across the country, as well as understand who they’re electing. Across the U.S., coroners are usually elected laypersons who may/may not have medical training, depending on local statutes. Coroners may also be appointed, again depending on state statutes.
