It's always sad to watch videos like this one, but it does raise awareness of the dangers of texting and driving. But unfortunately, it's still going to happen because people don't pay attention to what they're doing when driving.
A $500.00 fine for killing somebody while texting and driving then killing somebody. Jesus! She needs LIFE IN PRISON, AND A SOLITARY CELL.
I if you text and drive, you get a $1,000,000 fine, permanently banned from driving, and twenty years minimum in jail also in solitary, if your a minor then it is tripled. That simple. If we didn’t text, or drink then drive would we have all these videos? No way. We wouldn’t need them. THAT SIMPLE.
Eye for an eye. U kill someone u deserve the death penalty. That will make people think twice and save our taxpayer money

I don't understand why all these people are getting off with a five year sentence, for KILLING someone, this is the fifth time now I've seen people get five years, even if it's a DUI manslaughter. They should get as much time as anyone else would do, if they had shot someone dead, facts are, you committed murder, only difference is, you used a car and someone else used a gun. So if you want someone snubbed out, just kill them with your car and you'll be free in 2-3 years max
I almost got ran over yesterday by a truck because he was texting and driving and was getting over, while I was in the right lane, it was him, my little Jetta, and a concrete median, luckily I thought quick, because I'd already seen him texting, he wasn't trying to hide it by any means, and I filled my speed and blew my horn and thank you Jesus, he got back in his lane. It's a sad thing, I literally see people texting and driving every single day. My phone goes into it's stand and stays there until my shifter is in park

She should have at least got 20 to 25 years in prison and I'm not meaning being sentenced to 25 years and only doing 8 I mean doing the full 25 years! This system is a joke they put innocent people in prison for life and some on death row that are innocent but people that are guilty as Sin they just slapped their hand and say don't do that again and pay us $500!
