Y’all think he is sober here? Just look at the eyes!! He ain’t sober!! I’m a recovering addict myself and you just know that look. You can’t help but know it when you see it cause you looked at yourself everyday when you were on whatever it was. You know the actions you know the talk. I mean it’s sad he had what 17 years of being sober just to get out and start it up again. Now that I don’t get.. He had plenty of time to reflect . He had to see how bad drugs got him down to the point of murdering a man . Thinking of those times be scary enough for me to keep me clean. Remembering the life of having to have something just to function is enough for me. It’s one hell of a bad life. It’s hard not easy by no means . Ernie Glam tried helping him after prison but Micheal just wouldn’t work and was doing drugs almost immediately. To where they were hardly doing the show and finally Ernie had to break away from him. He loved Micheal and he tired but he couldn’t save him. Now Micheal is dead from overdosing and I never liked him but I do feel sorry for him. Bad as I didn’t like him I wish he would had done better for himself once he got out. He had friends he had help but he wanted to keep doing drugs and not work. This was said by Ernie Glam after Micheal’s death so it’s not something I’m just saying out my azz.. I really wish Micheal would had beaten his demons but I guess the guy just had to many..
We are all a little bit of everything, except the murdering part. I think that you have to have that in you to do that. And after that happens, people will only see that part of you because its something you can't come back from. You took someone's life away.

Back in his late teens & twenties there was a place for his way of living where he thrived nicely. Flash forward 2016, the fifty something year old, clearly has no realistic contingency plan; simply Magical Thinking.
His NYC Art/party filled second chapter turned up zeros & ended in an OD. As sad as the MA, AM saga is both adults chose a way of living which rarely ends well. They played/plied a rough trade & involved themselves in their own drug fueled fantasy worlds. More importantly, they both fell victim to their own CK hype, RIP.

Sadly Michael Alig did NOT stay sober. Died of a drug overdose in December 2020. A very sad ending.
The guy was a sociopath. I mean he's likeable and aesthetically pleasing. But, he's a sociopath. And look at how his life ended. It's just sad all the destruction.
Haha…he was high as a kite here. Talking about being sober and lying through his teeth. Takes another user to spot a person thats high. Look how glossy his eyes look. Then to find out he died of an overdose says it all. Don't forget he did a HORRIBLE thing. He paid his debt but he still killed a guy and did horrible disgusting things to the body. Then left it rotting in the tube for 2 weeks. Angel was waiting rt there for him when micheal died and drug him back to hell with him.

Michael repays him by killing him because he didn't have the money and was never going to pay ANgel back, to begin with..He was needing drugs bad that night ANgel wouldn't give him anymore without money so Michael kills him and while Angel is in Michaels tub dead, Michael is doing the drugs ANgel had on him..I tell ya anyone who believes this compulsive lying loser deserves a person like this in their life. Michael has never apologized for what he has done. He has said nothing to ANgels family or brother that looks exactly like Angel..He has no remorse because he is a psychopath..that's quite obivious.F U Michael you make me sick!

I guess everyone has forgotten or maybe is ok with the fact that Alig is also a dime dropping informant piece of shit scumbag. He gave up Gatien immediately, a guy who really did help and trust him. The cops had such a hard-on for Peter (hard-on for Peter…that's an unintended but funny pun anyway) that they sat Mikey boy down and said "Never mind about Angel…we want Gatien…" Alig sung like the 3 Tenors all at once.
Meanwhile, take a look at Peter Gatien and how he comported himself. Old school. You don't see that anymore…certainly judging from these comments I would not want to be partnered up with more than two or three of you, about the only ones who show any sense of honor.

All these years later, and he has never shown any regret. So many people here practically worshipping him, yet he killed and dismembered another human over drugs and money. Yeah, he did time, but still no regret. What a power trip and self absorbing person.
This guy has so much potential. I really hope he does channel it right. And why people are angry AT Michael for his release is BEYOND me. His release wasn't up to him.
I hope what he is saying is true, because the only person he would be cheating or hurting would be himself. Further note, yes probally the drugs he was on did cloud his clear thinking that day of the murder but you also have to think about he did not go out and go on a murder spree because of drugs or go out and harm people because of the drugs he was on. It seems there was more to play between him and the guy who got murdered. Drugs and money were a major part of the argument and tragic outcome. It's just a sad story, a life lost and another imprisoned for making very bad decisions . Due to the sickness of a toxic mix of addiction.
Had Angel pushed his way into a home in Texas and began beating a guest then threw the homeowner into a glass cabinet, they could have shot him and never gone to jail. They even called the police that night and no one believed them. It's not murder, its death and then a poor handling of the aftermath. He did 17 years. Enough.
