  1. From what I've heard, it's due to terrible backlogs. There are cases where serial killers' DNA from rape cases was sitting on shelves for years while they escalated from rape to murder. Now the DNA testing process is faster and there are private companies that use genetic databases to find criminals via their relatives, so hopefully it's getting better. HOPEFULLY.

  2. They make it sound like the cold case detectives solved this case when all they had to do was send out the DNA that had been literally within reach of the original and all subsequent detectives for SEVEN years. How many other cases has this police department botched?

  3. looked like someone helped this lady. if investigator didnt raise the questions, then why she said "nobody involved in this, just me alone"….very suspicious there, to me. i hope im wrong because one killer is good enough than find out more evil in reality 🙏.

  4. The original life sentence was overturned and she got a 2018 retrial.
At the retrial in 2018 she was sentenced to 25 to 50 years in prison.
I hope the scum who murdered for just a couple of thousand dollars she owed in rent, never goes free.
The police did not cover themselves in glory on this case.

  5. She definitely didn't do it alone. She wouldn't be able to pick her up and drag her. And honestly the way that she said :"it was just me I swear" repeating it,her voice was shaking and getting higher as if she was afraid for someone to go to jail that she loved. Possible child if grown or boyfriend. And her body language was showing signs of deception. Take her to polygraph and ask her some questions.
