  1. Eminent domain should have a clause that is valuable resources are found on the property taken, that the former owners are due 100% of the value of said resources. Imagine the govt taking your land, giving you fair market value, then striking oil underneath your house. Is it fair in that scenario that you get the value of your house and land, but the govt then comes in and takes all the oil that should've been yours?

  2. I would like to see States be required to compile statistics on charges that were dropped by courts before trial, including the charge and LE jurisdiction. It seems like some LEO don't know much about the laws they are supposed to enforce. There seem to be too many "throwaway" charges like resisting arrest, failure to identify, interfering with an investigation, and so on that are made simply to inconvenience the individual as retaliation.

  3. I think Picard is one of those guys that just wants to cash in on a lawsuit as evident by his "multiple pending federal lawsuits". he chooses to do something that, while it may be his right to do so, it is also all but guaranteed to be seen as inflammatory or cause conflict of some kind. he doesn't seem like he is doing this to educate law enforcement and the public on the Constitution and civil rights as much as he is doing it to cause conflict and get a payout.

  4. eminent domain is atrocious

people want to figure out the problems, look to the implementation of the co-opting of the land for exploitation by tax-subsidized industries post civil-war

    totally fuhked

  5. I love this auditor so much and despite that his lawsuits are paid by tax money, I'm hoping that these cops will eventually cease this harrassment once the public realizes how much their ego is costing them.(Edit)
As a child we almost lost our beautiful farm house to the city in order to build a bypass due to emminent domain.
It is a terrible practice and just goes to show you that we never truly own anything…but the government does.😢

  6. Dietrich Bonhoeffer argued that stupid people are more dangerous than evil ones. This is because while we can protest against or fight evil people, against stupid ones we are defenseless — reasons fall on deaf ears. Bonhoeffer’s famous text, serves any free society as a warning of what can happen when certain people gain immunity from accountability.

  7. Need to get other auditors to this cash cow town that doesn't mind lawsuits, since this auditors already got his hands full. How stupid can government be? Guess they'll figure it out as their insurance premiums go up. Loving it
