Bodycam: ‘Power Tripping’ Texas Cop Pulled Off Streets After ‘Buc-ee’s’ Traffic Stop

Bodycam footage from a traffic stop at a Texas “Buc-ee’s” gas station has led to an internal affairs investigation into police officer Scott Harrell. The video, which gained notoriety after being posted on Christopher Shull’s YouTube and Facebook accounts, shows Harrell allegedly violating Shull’s rights during the stop. Shull claims that the “power tripping” cop was looking for any reason to cite him for allegedly speeding through the parking lot and cutting through parking spaces on the private property.

In the footage, Officer Harrell can be heard telling Shull that he won’t ticket him because he ran out of tickets. However, the situation escalates when Harrell places Shull in handcuffs and detains him in the back of the police cruiser for three minutes before releasing him. Shull was ultimately cited after another officer arrived with a ticket book. In a recent development, Shull revealed to the Law&Crime Network that he received a letter in the mail on Friday stating that the citation had been dismissed. Meanwhile, Officer Harrell remains under investigation and has been placed on administrative duty pending the outcome of the internal affairs probe.

  1. Pull your pants down and getta ruler 😂 this has turned into a measuring contest of inches 😂 …Great to hear the officer was terminated and faces a federal civil lawsuit …Imagine what else he’s done

  2. He ran his DL and plates while he was the car. Not sure why he walked back to his unit and pretended like he did something on his laptop. Verbal warning and move on. No need to tell him you are out of tickets. Not sure how something this petty escalated.

  3. Arresting that man was beyond me. The calmest conversation let to him being arrested for disagreeing 🤣

Forgot to add, he was arrested because the officer felt he would file a complaint on him🤣

  4. What happens next? The officer OBVIOUSLY has issues with… the US Constitution, Texas State Law… and with people (American citizens) questioning his actions.
What happens next? Suspension? Termination? Retraining?
It HAS to be more than just ANY of that. America's law enforcement officers… the municipal cop , county sheriff, and state police… have been left to their own devices for too long.
There is a mentality that has manifested itself within these departments… a mentality of superiority, omnipotence and invulnerability.
It has been building up for decades… it first started with 'the war on drugs'… and then it grew with the 'war on terror'.
America entrusted it's police with more power… and more authority… and this is what happens… in FAR TOO MANY cases.
During the war on drugs… new stiffer penalties were imposed upon criminals who injured or killed a police officer.
It is time to impose the SAME type of penalties upon police officers who violate their oath of office… the law… and our trust.

  5. He literally said the only reason I’m not writing you a ticket is because I’m out of tickets. Like I don’t that but HOW DO YOU RUN OUT OF TICKETS!!!! Every ticket that cop has wrote out needs to be investigated

  6. Did I wake up in Russia?!!!! I use to be completely behind the cops. Now, I have zero respect. This is disgusting and happens over and over and over! Inch of power hungry egomaniacs. And there NOT out their serving the public anymore.

  7. the united states should learn a lot from the scandinavian police, there is a lot of trust in the police. Never any problem. ever. This is just bs to watch.. wasting resource and people time on this kind of bs, cmon..
