Bodycam footage shows the moments surrounding the deadly shooting of a California man allegedly hallucinating on April 28. The Oxnard Police Department said 24-year-old Michael Owens locked himself in the bathroom after officers responded to a 911 call from neighbors and Owens himself, who was asking for a paramedic. Owens was shot after allegedly lunging at an officer while armed with a knife. The Law&Crime Network’s Sierra Gillespie breaks it down.

Bro.. show the whole video… Whats the point of making this video if ur not even gonna show the thing this whole video is about….
Sad tbh
Watching someone die the way Michael did is surreal. One second they’re fully lucid, moving around and making noise, next second, they’re, just… gone. No movement, no sound, nothing. It’s crazy
Letting this guy get that close was a huge mistake for the officer.
Just in case yall wanted to know. Yes the full and not censored recording of this was publicly available: he got shot 8 times and the officer stopped before shooting him one last time in the head. His last words sounded like “do it again bi-“
Anyone come from that one roblox video 😭
rainbow 6 siege ahh
I saw the Roblox version of this
<—
My reaction to this
And they want social workers to handle these cases.
I feel bad for that cop. Ppl are gross man
where have tasers gone?
Dieing in the mist of a trip has to be one of the most terrifying and worst way to go.
Dear L&C – why do you narrate everything that happens just before it’s shown? I get narrating the parts you don’t show & narrating the background info, but it’s such a waste to say “this is what is going to happen” then show the footage of exactly that happening.
Ask Michael if he learned his lesson?? I think he did cause i aint heard anything else about him.
That's a dangerous job that the police do.put it this way, when your in an emergency and life and death situation, who are the first persons there..police.they are people yesterday like me and you.i envy them..good people.
Not very often we get these out of Oxnard but very unfortunate for the young guy and glad the officer is safe
If he is hallucinating, why did the officer shoot? Why didn't he just run?
So desperate for attention…..and got it.

One shoots is now a murder , cop shoots its
self defense. Ridiculous.
Cops never use tasers first man, jesus
They pobbaly could have just beat him. Down or tases him
Imagine being the person who called 911. You basically sent an execution squad to this young man. Way to escalate the situation
Why is the cop even under investigation? What was his duty to begin with, to protect society to keep a safe environment from crimes and threats. A guy is holding a knife and is charging at you who is trying to help him and treat him, what do they expect the cop to do, take the stab and die? Is that what he is trained to do, to sacrifice good human life in place of a criminal?
Unnecessary. That cop could have shot him in the legs before he got close to him and shut him down and don't tell me that's
a difficult shot. If a cop can't shoot that accurately from a distance of 10 feet he should't be in charge of a gun.
No mental help just killings
