Bodycam footage shows the moment a gunfight erupted inside a “Motel 6” when a deputy pretended to be a front desk worker to serve a warrant on May 16. The Madison County Sheriff’s Office said deputies attempted to serve arrest warrants to Brooke Badger and Jon Niccum before the shootout began. 1. Being out on work release 9 years into a 10 year prison sentence and trying to escape is crazy. You had a YEAR left.

At the time of the shooting, “Niccum was wanted for felony work release violations and escape.” Fox59

Original charges and sentence: “charged with III Counts of Dealing In Cocaine or Narcotic Drug-Delivery of, a Class B felony.” Fox59 “Jon Niccum, 38, admitted that he belongs in prison, but that he has a serious addiction problem and wants to get treatment. Madison Circuit Court 6 Judge Dennis Carroll agreed, accepting a plea agreement between Niccum and prosecutors that called for 10 years executed in prison and 10 more years suspended on probation.” Harold Bulletin.
