Alex Murdaugh’s attorneys, Richard Harpootlian and Jim Griffin, gave a press conference Friday afternoon after the disgraced lawyer was sentenced to two consecutive life sentences behind bars. Murdaugh’s attorneys doubled down on their innocence claim, criticizing investigators for incomplete forensic testing and insisting nothing proves their client killed his family. Harpootlian proclaimed they intend to appeal the conviction all the way up to the Supreme Court if necessary.

Murdaugh's lawyers' team looks guilty
Alex made sure to invite every dog and their yuppy colleagues the night he murdered his wife and son on purpose. To deliberately destroy any and all tire tracks, finger prints, etc. He just didn't think about how he could get away with their murders. To many creditable witnesses. Snapchat video, # 1.
How the heck can they say it was after he was arrested that he lied about the kennels!! Get real!! He lied about that in the car interview on the night!! He was asked if he was there, and he said no. These attorneys are happy to forget things and lie just like bloody Alex!!! It’s pathetic!!
It really shows me how disconnected Alex was from his son Paul (who didn’t want to be a lawyer), in that Alex never knew that Paul spent every moment he could on his phone and would take videos often…my only unsettled point is why Alex didn’t take and destroy Paul’s phone! But he knew Paul’s phone had password known only to Paul, he talked about that later, but really it also points to Maggie being his focus. I think Paul was collateral damage. That’s why he gets more upset when Paul’s Body is being discussed. He didn’t want to kill Paul. Maggie was the focus. He had to kill Paul first otherwise Paul would have stopped him
The thing is, if Alex didn’t do it, wouldn’t he have said he was at the kennels, but lied about it because he was scared they’d pin it on him? Why not scream your innocent and say I was scared you’d pin it on me, when that is not true!! I didn’t do it man!!
How long are they going to fight for him? Who’s going to pay them? He is broke, and will never practice law again, so there’s no more big money there. Is Randy going to pay them? Are they going to work for nothing? Or is the state going to pay it when they (in their mind) prove him innocent? Good old tax payer again!!
Why didnt they ask about the snapchat video that places alex at the murder scene 😂 so according to the defense someone murders them between 8:50 –9:00 alex had just gone to take a nap before this happened. Comes back calls the police, not a single tear out of his face and lies about being at the kennels at the exact time the maggies and pauls phone lock for ever.
They were horrible, even given that they represented a total scumbag.
These lawyers are THE BIGGEST LOOSERS. They demostrated total incomptence.
Alex is a despicable human being. He stole all that money off of people who needed it. He lied about not being there at the kennels why if he was innocent?
Also when your mum has severe Alzheimer's you just don't turn up at that time of night and disturb them because they are confused enough . He would have gone earlier.
The fact that there was no blood on his tee shirt is also strange because who wouldn't hold their loved ones close ? Especially if you have tried to turn them.
Alex cared about his standing in the community. One cannot believe that anyone would kill for such a reason but everything he did that night and the days afterwards point only in him covering his tracks.
I doubt an appeal and retrial would offer a different outcome.
Plus who would just stand out in the open knowing that there were gunmen out there ?
I would have let those hunting hounds out and let them hunt them down.
Sounds like Alex was able to pay them.
