Mussolini and the Ethiopian War | Evolution of Evil

Mussolini called Adolf Hitler a silly little clown.

On the other hand, Mussolini inspired Adolf Hitler. Mussolini invested a fortune in his military and increased it. To increase its empire, Italy invaded Ethiopia in 1935. It was a savage act of revenge. It was the largest colonial army ever put in a field and this war was one of the most one sided conflicts in history.

They are a rogues gallery of the most notorious despots in recent history. From Hitler to Saddam Hussein, from Stalin to Kim Jong-il of North Korea, from Chairman Mao to Colonel Gaddafi these are the psychopaths, the heartless ideologues, the greedy, the cruel and sometimes the just plain mad individuals who have seized control of their country and inflicted appalling suffering on their people.

  1. Good old Athiopia *.
Of course by this time many countries had jettisoned the League of Nations and even our American cousins were neglectful of it. Japan had been fighting China for at least three years..

  2. His two favourite songs that he asked to be played on this death was "Upside down You're turning me," and "When I am swinging from a lamppost at the corner of the street."

  3. As some one who has worked in Italy, and my brother also, there is some STRONG racist in Italy.

Not all but more open than in the uk.
