Most of Alaska is not in normal telephone and radio communication areas. Why do they not have Satelite phones? In Australia, the outback is in a similar situation to this and even when people are travelling through these dangerous areas they can hire, for a reasonable price These satellite phones. This saves a lot of time if people are in difficulty. In today's society I think it really abominable that state of the art equipment is not available to our most courageous people.
