CASE DETAILS
========
Missing Since: 05/15/1994
Missing From: Royse City, Texas
Sex: Female
Race: White
Date of Birth: 06/01/1956 (66)
Age: 37 years old
Height and Weight: 5’2, 120 pounds

Associated Vehicle(s)
Pea-green four-door 1989 Volvo

Distinguishing Characteristics
Caucasian female. Brown hair, hazel eyes. Payne’s maiden name is Gagnon.

Payne was last seen leaving her home in Royse City, Texas on May 15, 1994. She was driving her pea-green four-door 1989 Volvo.

She never returned home and after a few days without contact, her family filed a missing person report with the police.

When the family searched for her on their own, they heard she had been seen at the Nook, a bar in West Tawakoni, Texas, and at a friend’s home in Hawk Cove, Texas.

A few years after Payne’s disappearance, the detective who’d been assigned to her case in 1994 happened to see her family and asked if they’d ever found her.

At this time, the family realized there was no active missing person report for Payne.

They have since filed a second report.

Payne had bought the Volvo from a neighbor and was supposed to be making payments on it, but she had stopped making the payments shortly before she went missing.

The car was still not registered in her name when she went missing.

It has never been located.

Little information is available in Payne’s case.

This documentary shares with you day 1 in searching for Roszan with the AWP crew as they meet up with Roszan’s daughters and sisters in hopes of finding her and giving the family the answers they’ve been looking for the past 28 years.

  1. That's Texas Law Enforcement. Avoid Houston and Austin. You will get all the help and work to help you find someone. Not Portland.

I would start back with snitches get stiches ladies in a heart beat. Lake Tawakoni area is a rough area. I still look at it as foul play. To many meth heads. Dealers and just unkind people living in trailer parks.

  2. It's so great to see you back Jared and doing what you love. I have missed seeing you as I am sure the rest of the viewers feel the same. You all are doing such a great job in cleaning up the environment as well as finding lost loved ones. I love you all it restores my faith in humanity there are just to many people that just do not care about the environment anymore. God works in mysterious ways and he is working threw you all, God bless each and everyone of you all.

  3. Just to give a little hope and respectful attention to families who have suffered such loss is incredible. And in some cases closure. Modern day cowboys and heroes

  4. In episode 1 while on the Arkansas river they found an old Volvo dark in color, top had rusted off due to being hit by boats. Not a far stretch if there was foul play, for someone to dump a car in the Arkansas river

  5. Least you aren't finding tons of cars to dive on, makes for a faster search. Just no answers with no cars.

Glad you got the Sheriff's Office helping out.

Oh, I thought y'all would go about 30 minutes away like you were talking about in Episode 1.

Wow, hope those trees don't cause a hole in the boat.

It's nice to hear about a good company – like the RV Park.

Hope that rumor is true about the car in the quarry.

Props to homeowner allowing y'all on the property.

Got to exciting to find a vehicle underwater, after searching for days.

Come back for a Episode 3.

WOW – What a drown, hope it has helped.

You are giving the family some hope and knowing where she is not.

SO GLAD the Sheriff's Office is listening and taking it seriously.

LOVE hearing when folks do the right thing – money or no money.

Jared, I liked how you spoke out to Roszan – because who knows, right.

    GLAD you got permission again.

  6. Great job guys, I wondered if anyone has looked up the vin on the Volvo to see if it had resurfaced anywhere else, not sure if this question was asked already, just trying to do my part and bring her home for the family . Thanks

  7. Hug found a green Volvo on one of his resent dives I think it was one that they found 11 cars. It was a Green Volvo identical to that one

  8. Thank you so much for what you due and the others due have you ever went to Ohio and see if there is missing people and their cars trucks and so forth just a ? But thanks for what you all due and stay safe

  9. Volvos have always had a rep for being built like tanks especially back when that car was built. Here’s hoping that works in favour of this lady’s story. ❤️‍🩹 Alcohol is easy to get and rely on when you’re hurting. 😞

  10. If you ever go to cedar Creek in Henderson co. They say equipment left by dam went under water in 1957 when a big rain filled that lake. Cedar creek part Kaufman co

  11. Prayers this lovely family gets some answers one day soon. Lord help them as awp have helped them. May they find closure and answers amen
