34. So the National Chapter has a rule to let trans women into the sorority. I get that. But to let a trans woman in a female safe space is something else. Often in these houses, like in a women’s dorm , the girls are free to walk as girls. It is a safe zone. We don’t have to dress a certain way, talk a certain way, act a certain way or be fearful of a imbalance power dynamic. Men don’t understand this. It’s like being a person of color in a all white office, we act differently. This trans woman has more physical power and still possesses the body of a man, it makes the space feel less safe. If the National chapters of sororities and fraternities want the inclusion of Transgenders they need to build separate houses for the pre-operation people. Now in a coed dorm/house that’s different. Everybody signed up knowing the opposite sex in all forms will be living together.
