I’d be very careful calling racism a mental illness, that type of rhetoric just started and will likely have the government spending billions of dollars to “get ahead” of this “new” mental health condition. So we will throw money at racism and it will be the new PTSD, and we will feel sorry for racist people and start telling ourselves that it’s not their fault, turn the other cheek, because we are sooooooo forgiving. Meanwhile blacks cannot get anything for our condition here in America to close this gap. What about our mental health condition of cringing every time a cop car is behind us, that’s one undiagnosed mental health condition that nobody wants to talk about. Classifying racism as a mental illness is just another measure to protect themselves and still feel good about their condition here in America.
