  1. bruh it’s not like the n word where it just can slip out and not have racist intention. what this man said doesn’t just slip out 😭😭😭

  2. 1) ctg is waaaaaay too sensitive
    2) yes, if you were to call someone a cotton picking mf or something along those lines that is racist. But using it as a replacement for damn, not so much
    3) I'm from the deep south (SC is not the deep south or even the south at all imo) and this phrase is used all the time. By all races
    4) I'm sure we can do our "Googles" on ctg and find plenty of racist remarks

  3. People want to defend him saying it's an old saying. Well yeah… an old saying from the south, used by white people, in reference to slaves back in the day. Not something you should go around and say.

  4. OK Charlemagne's now I'm lost I use that phrase but I said it like that white guy said it cotton picking mind I'm from the south but I never thought of it the way that you are trying to twist it and whatever whatever I don't know but I did not find a defensive maybe I'm naive maybe I'm sounding k o o o n i s

  5. See this is why I LOVE me some Charlemagne👏 He fed y'all facts about the bugs bunny thing. Alot of people don't even know the racist ass history behind these old cartoon characters that they idolize. Look it up👏

  6. Dehumanizing black folks over political bullshit is like the saying the N-word. It's a nasty habit that black people commit among ourselves, and now people outside of our communities – particularly white people – think it's okay to do the same.

  7. If it were only a (supposed) euphemism for “damn,” then I would agree with you because “everyone” says “damn” on TV these days…but in reality, it replaces the much more malignant term, “GOD-damn”…which is abhorrently worse than ANY other word or phrase (at least for any God-fearing Christian).

  8. Funny they call blacks and Browns the people of color because Whites are actually the true people of color. White is all colors and Black is the absence of color ask any art teacher 😎😎😎😎😎😎😎

  9. Damn. I am impressed that this comment section isn't full of outrage. It was definitely a racist term and needs to be retired but this is just a case of him not thinking in the moment and using a term that had its meaning watered down with time.

  10. It was a stupid choice of words but it wasnt really racist. Come on stop making things bigger then they are. This way people wont take actual racism serious anymore

  11. I'm a Black male and never thought of this being racist, but it seems there's a lot of things and words these days that are considered racist. I know this was a few weeks ago but some people are making a mountain out of a mole hill

  12. I see a lot of folks think being naive is an acceptable excuse. So let me ask y’all this, was I wrong for checking a manager who referred the Hispanic temp workers as “Chalupas.” He thought it was funny and it’s a known slur at my current employer’s office?
