3. This is beyond sickening and infuriating that anyone let anyone a police officer would even have the audacity to do this to a six year old child! What could a child do to deserve this trauma? Nothing!

4. Restraints absolutely not required. Kids need to be raised right though. This kid thought it was ok to act out and go at the school staff. She doesn’t respect the authority of the school staff because she does not have a respect or fear of the consequences at home for her behavior IF there are any.

18. The school had a right to call the police. I have seen 6 year olds completely destroy classroom, other students, and staff. In the school system, there are only certain restraints you can use and be in the clear. The school probably called tbe police to protect themself from getting into legal troubles. HOWEVER, the police arresting the student is crazy to me. The police could have done many things other than arrest the child. For instance, moves the child to an empty area (freeing both student and others from danger) and wait for a guardian to arrive.

Part of the education process involves modeling proper behaviors and management of bad behavior. I refuse to accept the child’s arrest was warranted or appropriate.
