  6. I think what Chuck was referring to Lavar's constant media presence which is unnecessary, he can manage BBB but shouldn't have full say over their careers which he feels is happening i.e Lavar pulling Melo out of High School to play in Lithuania, it was clear Melo did not want to be there

  35. The only Ball that has talent is Lonzo. Those other 2 boys aren't talented basketball players and the least talented of them all is the father. How can you not see what Charles Barkley is saying? It's clear to everyone what Lavar is trying to do. He's trying to build a brand off of 3 sons when only 1 is actually talented enough to be endorsed by any company. The other 2 just aren't as talented. With a loud personality like the one Lavar possesses, it seems that he's trying to have that be the bait but it's surely not the talent.

    I've seen a brief documentary on the Ball Family and to be quite honest, I don't necessarily agree with his parenting style. He literally forced basketball on them at a young age. I don't think he even allowed these boys to willingly choose to like the game of basketball. I remember a clip where one of the boys was but a toddler and Lavar in the background already coaching him. Lavar already knew what he wanted to do with his boys when they were little. I'm one of those men who doesn't have a problem critiquing how people raise their kids because they are humans and we have all been raised by someone. And what I do declare is that you have to allow your children to choose their path, you never want to choose their life for them because sooner or later it will come back to haunt you via the boys realizing what has happened and they will hate him for it.

    Maybe not Lonzo, but the other 2 will.

  41. Is this the second time Barkley made "Donkey of the Day"? As for "white America" "exploiting" NBA players as opposed to a parent like Lavar, the difference is that Lavar can't keep his mouth shut, and one of his kids lost his college scholarship over shoplifting in another country before even playing in the NCAA, when they got money to properly buy shades. "White America" on the other hand knows when and when NOT to say certain things that'll put their image at risk, because they're at the mercy of the consumer. And Charles is a hall of famer, Charlamagne. Of all the people you ask "Who are you?", you ask Chuck? I swear to God man, nominate yourself again for another "Donkey of the Day". I'll give you the biggest "He-haw" your show has ever had!
