  34. definition of immigrant: A person tho comes to live permanently in a foreign country. So technically Ben is correct. The definition does not specify if it mattered if the person willingly comes to the country or not. Unless you're a NATIVE you are an IMMIGRANT.

  44. I'm honestly surprised about the commotion surrounding Ben Carson's statements. It seems to me that everyone is interpreting his sentences differently and are paraphrasing them as if they are some complex allegory pronouncing his allegiance to the practice of slavery. He already said the word "slaves" several times and it can be implied that the immigration he was referring to wasn't voluntary at all.
