CASE DETAILS
Paul’s family last had contact with him on November 12th, 1990.

Nothing seemed out of the ordinary at that time. The following day on November 13th one of his nephews noticed Paul’s car parked on U.S. Route 151 near the ‘Welcome to Wisconsin’ sign just a mile from the Dubuque-Wisconsin Bridge.

This family member didn’t report seeing Paul at the time and didn’t stop to check if he was in any trouble.

Later that day the same family member reported the car wasn’t parked there anymore.

Paul never made it to Thanksgiving Dinner on November 26th and his family soon realized he had failed to turn up to a job at a Mail Order Warehouse in Monroe, Wisconsin.

They traveled to his home at 2105 Washington Street and found no sign of Paul and his car was gone, but he had left behind his wallet, watch, and even his shoes.

Family members then reported Paul missing to the Dubuque Police Department.

INVESTIGATION
Police found the case a particularly difficult one to investigate.

Paul hadn’t had a social life outside of his family.

He hadn’t been in trouble with the law and wasn’t known to abuse alcohol or drugs.

Paul also hadn’t been known to be depressed or suicidal and didn’t usually travel anywhere but to see his family and to work.

This made it difficult to ascertain what he could have been doing when he disappeared or even when he disappeared.

Initially, police believed that whatever had happened to Paul occurred on or around November 13th when his vehicle, a maroon-colored 2-door 1981 Mercury Zephyr with license plate NBL923 went missing.

The problem with this assertion was that a witness later came forward to say they saw Paul driving that car near his home on November 17th, suggesting everything was still normal at that time.

Police could never find any evidence that Paul had been involved in organized crime, drugs, or any other illegal activity that might explain his sudden disappearance.

Other then a search of the rivers and Woodlands near where Paul lived and where his car was seen parked on November 13th, police had little indication of where else to look for the 53-year-old.

Our search did not uncover any evidence of Paul or his vehicle in the area.

Hug the ones you love for you never know when it might be the last time you see them.

  1. You don't think the
    AQUA-EYE CAN HELP!
in this type of situation stuff being buried Since that flood I actually thought the AQUA-EYE can see further through objects??? I thought the Aqua-Eye can do more than one any other Sonar can do? What was the purpose of the demonstration you had given us on this Aqua-eye anyways you haven't used it at all!?!?! 🙋🏼🇨🇦💕

  2. Wisconsin/Iowa I've swam dangerous currents there. I had a rescue diver with me. He explained how to swim along with the current. I used to clam by the prairie due chein area. The barges move all day long up and down that river. Not just grains and coal they carry sand and dirt back and forth all day! U guys b safe! Much love and thank you! Mississippi River is the 4th river in the world.

  3. Jared… I love you guy, I do.. But it is "suppoSEDly" – not "suppoSUBly"… There, I said it.
Do I feel better? Not really, but I could not stop myself 😉
All kidding aside, great work guys. Also, beautiful choice of piano and strings music you chose to use during your episodes, makes the show even more great to watch.

  5. I wish I would of known u all we’re in Dubuque.. I grew up on the Mississippi in Bellevue Iowa!! And the river isn’t forgiving at all.. u pronounce the name with a (K) just saying

  6. I can't understand why a family would wait 30 years to actively search for a man unless they didn't have access to divers back then.It would have to be heartbreaking for me and I know they have a lot of questions.May God help you all..

  7. Thank you for always offering an explanation of how you use your equipment to locate vehicles. By now, I understand it pretty well, but always watch that part anyway.
I enjoy learning new things. I love swimming, and am drawn to water like a magnet. I also have a healthy respect for the power of hydraulics, both in relation to bodies of water, and in tow/recovery equipment (my ex owned a "stacker" 10-car hauler, and I found that fascinating, too…used to participate in loading and unloading when I rode along). Always aware that water is deceptive, and even deceitful sometimes….never as innocuous as it appears.
Pretty much every lake or river near me has at least one unrecovered body in it!!! 🤯
Maybe someday I'll have an opportunity to use the knowledge.
Thank you endlessly for your time and efforts.

  8. Thanks for everything you have been doing to help with lost love ones to come home to there families.may god bless you all in Jesus Christ name amen.i am a big fan of you guys from Michigan

  12. Fyi. I owned a Mercury Zephyr Station wagon.. Bright red. I think out was a 97 or 98. Best little pulling car. Pulled several cars out of Ditches with it .

  13. When you were by the bridge you mentioned that it could be fairly new, and we all know they have put pile-ons on top of cars before. Do you think that is a possibility?
