Protesters in Chile Have Been ‘Murdered, Tortured, and Disappeared’

Chile’s President Piñera says foreign intervention and a conspiracy are behind the recent protests. But protesters say what’s happening is an explosion of long-contained rage against poverty, inequality, and oppression.

  1. Last time Chile had no means to cry out to the world, America could give power to Pinochet and noone batted and eye. It is now time for noise to be made and people around the world to wake up to the atrocities perpetuated by the CIA.

  2. Cops always protect the powerful first and mainly. If they are told to attack, like dogs they will follow orders regardless of whether or not the people are right to fight back. Then they hide behind.. Im just doing my job

  3. Both women and men get raped… also, they're not only arresting, torturing, killing people off the streets, as friends in Chile tell me, they've started to target people at home again. Community/student etc. leaders, prominent figures start to disappear from their living quarters. It's la dictadura all over again.

  4. I wish we had the courage to protest en masse like that in the USA. My prayers are with you all, brave Chilean protesters.

  5. Look at how the TYRANICLE CORUPT PARASITE legaized GOVERMENT MAFFIA arm against us with our own tax money, and then turn against us when we protest to theire CORUPTIONS AND CRIMINAL ACTIONS

  6. This is what happens when we elect goverments they become a legalized maffia against WE THE PEOPLE, ITS TIME TO THINK DO WE REALY NEED TO BE GOVERNED,ARE WE CAPABLE OF GOVERNING OURSELVES.INSTEAD OF BEING RULED BY A LEGALIZED TYRANICLE MAFFIA,THAT WE ELECT AND SOME ASS KISSERS EVEN IDOLIZE AND ADMIRE LIKE IF THEY WERE ROCK STARS

  7. Real News. Please (re) interview Nancy MacLean who in her thoroughly documented book “Democracy In Chains” reveals that American right wing academic, racist, and highly influential operative James McGill Buchanan wrote the Chilean constitution that the Chilean protestors are referring to. The US backed the abominable Pinochet and followed up by “lending”the Chilean plutocrats

  8. That Chilean spokesperson for the protesters is so smart and well-informed of the neo-liberal fight we all face. In contrast, so many in the US who's labor is being exploited are so stupid when it comes to these issues. I wish that wasn't the case.

  9. That f****n Henry kissinger has been around a long time advocating (if i can say that) and promoting evil and the new world order every where.

  10. What in the GODS name is going on, its literally like the authorities WE put in place just stomp on us as soon as we say a word. How on the earth is it even remotely possible that the very same police and military that is meant to protect the people are RAPING women and DISAPPEARING people ?!? What the hell is this the Congo wars ?!?!?! Where the HELL are the so called US and NATO and other useless PUPPET jack asses when this is going on !!! m so fed up watching this day in day out, it makes me wish there was a calamity and we had a full world reset.

  11. nothing new, soon they'll try doing that crap here-coming from our currupt (democracy)guilty governors in America?!
Maybe that's why this current prez is out-right arming the local police chiefs with military weapons & other tank type soldier carriers-"we got to be ready",Huh?!

  12. 1,000,000 out of 3,000,000 population joining in on these protests, so 1/3 of the city's population, WOW; it convincingly is a VERY serious protest. I was surprised to learn that the govt still had Pinochet era law. Would've thought that it would've ended long enough ago by now. From the little I had learned about that era, it was a horrific govt that practiced incredibly bad human rights abuses, and calling it abuses might be a little understated. Blaming Venezuelan President Maduro strikes me as ridiculous, ludicrous, and damn LAME. Why on Earth would Maduro do such a thing?! Total NONSENSE. Piñera stating such a thing, he must think that EVERYONE's blatantly IDIOT. I wonder why police and military support such bs govt, rather than supporting the population. I understand that this happens also in other countries, but it takes brainwashed, dumbed down and corrupt forces, members there-of.

  13. 😂😂America’s back yard is lacking democracy because they distributed it to Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, Libya, Sudan and soon Lebanon will get a taste of some demoncracy too😂

  14. Sad that the president states (some might even say boasts) that there is a “war against a powerful enemy (the government),” and then proceeds to declare marshal law and cracks down on his own people.

Instead of making real concessions he takes the hardline stance that the government will not tolerate dissent.
