Sadly, the Conservatives, which are objectively A LOT worse, are trying to make points off this. The Conservative party that practically has a majority of anti-abortion right candidates… I remember the Harper government and its retrograde and sometimes downright proto-fascist positions on rights, freedoms, privacy, science, worker's rights, ecology, etc. Like anywhere in the world almost, many Canadians will vote under the conformist influence of media and the results are unpredictable (i.e. I estimate that about 30% of voters sway for any party that looks popular in the media the day of the elections).
That said, each area is different. I am in Quebec proper. Unless I need to block the Conservatives, I will vote for the best person, which might me in the NDP, Green, Bloc.
