Suspect for Shooting Incident of a Philadelphia Parking Authority Enforcement Officer in the 15th District [*Update* Possible Connection to a Shooting in Bronx, New York] – Blotter

UPDATE: The Philadelphia Police Department received information from the NYPD that the shooting of an on-duty PPA worker on the 4500 block of Frankford Ave on November 25, 2022, is possibly connected to a shooting that occurred on November 22, 2022, on the 2200 block of Boston Road in Bronx, NY.  In that shooting, a Sunoco gas station employee was shot in the head by an unknown male.

The individual(s) being sought for these shootings is/are considered armed and dangerous.

The Philadelphia Police Department and the Shooting Investigation Group is asking for the public’s assistance for information in reference to an attempted murder of a Philadelphia Parking Authority Officer that occurred at 4536 Frankford Ave on November 25, 2022. A masked suspect, armed with a silver revolver, approached an on-duty PPA officer from behind and fired one shot into his head before fleeing onto the 1500 block of Gillingham St towards Griscom St.

The City of Philadelphia and The Philadelphia Parking Authority each have offered $10,000 for a total of $20,000 for information that leads to an arrest and conviction of the male depicted in the photos.
