On July 18, 2021 at 11:53 PM, on the victim, a 41 year-old female, was sleeping inside her residence on the 6xx block of W. Annsburry St. when she was awaken by multiple gunshots coming from outside her residence. The victim then ran to the rear of her property and called 911. When Officers from the 25th District responded they located shell cases outside the residence, as well as multiple bullet holes to the front door and windows of the property. Surveillance video recovered from the area depicts two unknown males approaching the property, checking the door or knocking on the front door. When there is no response the suspects who are armed go across the street and open fire on the property before fleeing the area on foot towards 7th Street.
