We are not attorneys or scholars, however we have been involved in professional photography for over 30 years and have had our rights and freedoms challenged more times than we can remember. No one group or person has the ability to effect change across the board, however we are committed to doing our part by continuing to stand up for our constitutional right to free press and the right to take photographs and video in public. All donations will be used exclusively to further this cause.   2. Ha ha, a policy is not a flyer, it needs to be signed off by a person of authority, i.e. CEO of the library or a Mayor and be an official document and endorsed.

  3. I make videos too, it amazes me you can wave a phone around every where, but when it looks like a proper camera or gets bigger, everyone looses their mind's

  6. Seems like the place likes to have it both ways. It's "public" until you want to use a camera, then it becomes a "private facility" if you think you are "free".

  13. This video inspired me to visit.
    The garden on the roof flooded down into several floors. Currently only the first floor is open.

  16. The last gentleman you were talking to seemed to be the highest ranking person there. Maybe I blanked during the video but did you ask him if the library receives any public funds? If they do then all the restrictive policies on your filming is just that. Policies and there is no law to back it up.

  24. And your filming is commercial since you advertise on youtube. You make money doing this. Commercial by definition no matter what you say unless you do not make money from doing these videos

  25. Privately zoned. Then says private building publicaly zoned. She obviously has no clue, just enforcing what she thinks is policy. But she was very nice and should be applauded for kindness. I would have probably followed her rules just because of how nice she is.
