The kid is lucky you were there or there's a very good chance they would have "planted" a weapon to "find". I have already talked to my 2 teenage grandsons about this. Keep your mouth shut. Whatever they say, keep quiet. They will lie to try to get you to talk. Kids are notorious for getting upset and trying to defend themselves. It's so important to teach them police tactics so they will know what to expect and they will have a better chance of keeping their cool.
