Taking my Complaint to the LAPD Inspector Generals

When the Sgt told me I was going to have to go to the LA Office, to get my print out, I was a little bent, because hell no, why would they make me go all the way out there when it was dealt with in house?! BUT since I wanted to support my friend Valerie and join her at the LAPD headquarters Daniel and I made our way to the Inspector General and wouldnt you know- almost everything Sgt Pickering sent Sgt Hudlet was a b/s LIE! shocking I know…luckily my showing up there did put the fire under his ass to just email me the disposition letter…..but I have yet to get a confirmation of my review request. I’ll update when anything new happens. Thanks for going on this journey with me. Proof of the hell they put you threw to file a complaint.

  1. When I was Active Duty USN, we had the right to request to speak directly, one on one, with the Skipper.
We had to route the proper paperwork requesting the meeting, but we still got to have our meeting.
The reason I mention this, is it seems to me, you should be able to request a sit down with the LAPD COP(Chief of Police). Yes, many people dont know that calling todays police officers Cops, derived from the acronym COP.
If you still arent able to get the Chief to see what everyone else who has watched the original video saw, then take it to the Mayor.
I would throw out a semi veiled threat that I was going directly to the Mayor. If that doesnt light a fire under someones sittin thing, they aren't taking you seriously.
They think the more hoops get thrown at ya to jump through, you'll just say fooey, and give up.
But most places dont want the Mayor involved if the person with the complaint
has even a 50/50 chance at the Mayor siding with them.
Some say dont even waste time with the Chief. IA had their chance. Go right to the Mayor.
Food for thought. Non LEOs know youre right, and if truth were known, 75% of the LEOs know ya are too.
    Good luck and stay safe!

  2. here is what you need to understand. you were never prevented from recording. the cops never physically removed you from the area or took your camera from you. you were never arrested because of your "journalism." but the police are not bound under any law or policy to allow you to get good footage.

  3. Laura.
This is and has been the LAPD'S M,O For as long I can remember. The LAPD Has no interest in finding out what the facts are when it comes to the officer's the they are responsible for training & hireing too
So call serve. AND protect. So who is the more (for the lack of a better word) GUILTY One ?
The CHUMP THAT VIOLATED YOUR RIGHT'S ? OR THE CHUMPS THAT ARE GUILTY OF PROTECTING THE CUMPASSD PIG BASTERD THAT VIOLATED HIS OATH
    OF OFFICE ? ANYWAY
YOU CUT IT THERE ALL JUST AS RESPONSIBLE!
    STAY SAFE !
    N.S.C.I.O.T.

  4. IT'S AN OUTRAGE THAT THE STANDARD OF PROOF REQUIRED BY US THE PEOPLE IN ALLEGATIONS AGAINST LAW ENFORCEMENT OR CITY OFFICIALS SEEMS TO BE TWO DIFFERENT STANDARDS COMPLETELY OUTRAGEOUS & CORRUPT!! THIS SHOWS THE INEQUITY & FAIRNESS GIVEN TO THE PUBLIC, NOT JUST, OR FAIR, DESPICABLE, DISGRACEFUL! KEEP UP THE GOOD FIGHT LAURA SHARK, TOM ZEBRA & ALL THE OTHER AUDITORS OUT THERE THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE TO US THE PEOPLE… Y'ALL ROCK!;

  5. I hate to tell you sheeples but the problem a little bit bigger than ya think Google building number 7 was demolition and wake the F up

  6. So the video is not enough proof of your 1st Amendment being violated, humm! Sounds fishy and I think it's time for the shark to have a feeding frenzy on this one!

  7. LaurasharkCW – was this one of those shining a strobe in your face things? appeal it as a "use of force" complaint if so, we need to get folks to start getting those weaponized lights declared a use of force, because thats what the manufacturers intended use for them is… force… P.S. "unfounded" is worse than "unsubstantiated", they declared him innocent…

Drat! Foiled again because the Complaint Process is a Human Resources review, not a question of Violation of Law. Another way of looking at this finding is, the Sargeant in question did nothing wrong because it's LAPD "Policy" to violate a Civilian's Right to Record the Police.¹⁻³

¹) Freedom of the Press clause of the 1st Amendment to the USA Constitution (Philadelphia, 1776).
    ²) Fordyce v. City of Seattle, 55 F.3d 436 (9th Cir. 1995).
    ³) CA Penal Code § 148(g) (2017)

  9. As I recall your video demonstrated the violation to a much higher standard, or beyond any reasonable doubt. Then the IG's office says that if a corrupt process was properly followed per policy, that they'll concur with the result.

He might as well of said that had the issue been the color of your clothing, that they would have agreed that you were wearing red if the dept looked & saw black as anybody would, but SAID you were wearing red. Per the AG, they would concur that you're in red – not because they look themselves, but because the dept says THEY looked.

It's ludicrous, & the effect is a non-responsive dept that knows who they don't work for.

Stay on 'em – Such a policy can only exist within the context of corrupt intent. They're counting on quietly deflecting complaints on a case by case basis, & this kind of exposure will eventually change policy.

  10. They will never side with us. Even when it is wrong of what an officer did, they will never be held accountable for it. Thats why whenever there is a wrongful killing of a civilian the officers involved will be found justified with that killing. The system is set up to be against us. Its so fucked up. Thats why i hate lapd so much. They allow misconduct from an officer and just act like its no big deal. Even when they kill an innocent person they are allowed to get away with it. Which is so wrong on so many levels. So FUCK THE POLICE.

  11. Might be boring, always seems pointless, but the registering of complaints is essential and should make the "disconnect" and ethical violations clearer than even the original incident.

  12. Can you take the cop to small claims court as his actions resulted in you not being able to receive revenue for that film of that event

  13. Thank you Laura for taking us this journey. I guess what I'm getting from this is no matter what you have on a LEO it doesn't matter, it's so sad that the people we employ to protect us are so dishonest. The system is broken and needs to be fixed. 🎥🎥🎥🎥🎥🎥🎥🎥🎥

  14. Start filing complaints with the city council at their meetings loudly the attorney for the county and the state's attorney office f*** local complaints they go nowhere

  15. The only way to get a satisfactory result is to force an investigation/review by an outside agency, preferably one that is not influenced by LAPD.

  16. I expected this exact outcome from the moment I started watching this video. I know your expectations were the same Laura. I was only interested to see how they were going to deny it. It's funny. This would be the same as if you had a video of someone committing a murder. LMAO 😂 😂

  17. So now you have exhausted your remedy, time to go to the next level. Then file the lawsuit. Don't worry. LAPD has insurance. It won't even come from the taxpayer, except for a negligible rise in premium cost.

  18. In other words, we will shovel our shit in any direction we choose. Though shit! These crooks can't be held accountable, because of implied immunity! They do what they want when they want, and to hell with the taxpayers! They all suck!

  19. Well what can you expect from cops investigating cops?? There should be an external commission that has no cops, law officers etc on the board to really investigate such allegations. Seeing that the blue line gang can say, do whatever they want, protected by their big brother in robe gang is just appalling. Seeing all the videos out there and the bad behavior of people with guns and little shinny badges, accessing that everyone is a criminal, when they are worst than the mafia LMAO Oh and they are allowed to lie to anyone by their code of conduct, but you are a criminal if you do, where's the logic in that?? parody or irony?? The people should get lawyers on this and put up a RICO case against the police, officers, judges, lawyers and prison personnel, because they are all on it together. Good job to show their lies, ineffectiveness and complete utter respect for the citizens. Lock your doors people, the police might be coming while you sleep!!!! … oh wait!!! Wasn'T there a story we told children to scare them off to bed like that?? ROFL

  20. Cops overseeing other cops to determine if they have done wrong or have broken laws. Surprise surprise the cops did not do anything wrong. There must be a better way.
