12. This was his second work-related shooting. Happened in September 2012. Supposedly this exacerbated his PTSD. He was fired December 2014. He sued for discrimination because of his PTSD. He lost. He appealed. He lost again.

    Meanwhile, Weinhaus is in prison for false crimes, because his lawyer didn't fight for bim.

14. There's an important element of this story that's been left out. Jeff Weinhaus declared war on Crawford County MO judges, prosecutors, court clerks, the Sheriff and his deputies. Some of those officials took Weinhaus' declaration of war very seriously. And by war I don't mean that in a figurative sense. Jeff Weinhaus issued an ultimatum and a deadline of Sept 17, 2012 that they each abandon and vacate their offices or Weinhaus would "go in there and blast you mother fuckers out of there… we have every right to remove you by whatever means are necessary, including, but not limited to, the use of force." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qHw0sDThkN8 I'll leave it for others to argue over matters of government corruption, legal misconduct in the Weinhaus trial, etc. What I will address here, as a Marine veteran, are the strategic and practical issues of going to war. Prior to declaring war one would be foolish to not assess the strength and vulnerabilities of your enemy, and doing so requires good intelligence on the enemy. One would need to assemble, equip, and train their troops. One would need to draw up war plans. Ideally, only after all your organizing and plans are in place would you declare war. Weinhaus did none of these things. He basically yelled "Ready! Fire! Aim!" Worse yet after declaring war he didn't treat his enemies like they were enemies that posed a threat. He ignored his own intel. Some here and elsewhere have alleged the cops deceived him and set him up for an ambush. I find that quite plausible. But guess what? Deception is part and parcel of warfare, and ambush is a legitimate war tactic. The lesson here is don't declare war on the government unless you're prepared to conduct yourself accordingly. Don't declare war without taking cognizance of the fact that there will always be casualties. Even outside the context of literal warfare never threaten violence against anyone, let alone the government, and expect they won't preemptively use violence against you. Weinhaus acted foolishly and recklessly. He's lucky to still be alive.

20. UPDATE: Jeff has been out of the hole for a little over a week. He was put in there for a post someone made of him by someone on the outside. The day he was let out he was promptly put in the cell with someone who tried to kill him and sent him to the hospital for stitches in his ear. Jeff was then put back in the hole for fighting. They let him back out after a day. Jeff was removed from the honor wing for the offenses they said sent him to the hole in January. This is yet another attempt to limit his contact with his friends, family, and council who is now filing another habeas corpus for the many Brady violations committed in his trial.

    As of today Jeff Weinhaus is still in the hole. He's been in there since about the 6th of January. I called the prison again today and spoke to his counselor. She still says that they're investigating and can't say when they'll let him out nor why they put him in. This is the third time in two years that they've done this. Every time they do it they give some stupid excuse about how someone planned to break him out of prison or how they didn't like what someone out on the outside said about his case. Not once has Jeff done anything to get thrown in the hole. I fully believe that this time they're trying to keep him from working with his lawyer to file a habeas corpus on several grounds only one being Brady violations. I'm told that there will be a hearing at the prison on the 6th of Feb. to discover the findings from their ridiculous investigation.
