I appreciate you protecting our rights, but the officer is right in this case you continue to engage with him rather than just walk away. It makes it seem like you want confrontation. Yes he is probably butt hurt but you've established why you're there for leave that dead horse alone. Sometimes silence is best. Talking to much can give them (in there mind) reason to believe you're causing a disturbance. (just my opinion)
