People should start referring to their cameras as pet robots instead of cameras. "No (fill in the blank), this is my pet robot. It likes to hang out with me and watch what's going on, which it does from that little robot eyeball right there (points finger to lens and then gently pats or pets the top of the robot while saying 'goooood boy/girl/they/them/zim/zir/ WHATEVER')…."
