That was hilarious, yet sad but true
Like on a recent episode of Law & Order SVU, the Police and FBI only care if you are rich, your parents are important. then they make a big deal if you get kidnapped or you are missing.
Don't call cops for kids in trouble. Every state has a 24/7 hotline number to their child protection agency, whatever name it goes by. They're not an ideal option–name me a government resource that is–but at least they're equipped to get the child into an emergency placement where they can be safer than they are on the street, any hour of the day or night. You should only call a cop if there's someone who's in need of the maximum application of violence possible, but are unable to deliver it yourself. Just hope that they go after the right person once they get there, if you ever do have to call.
