…Per the NYPD Patrol Guide, Officers are required to produce their Name, Rank & Shield upon request without fear of being harassed & intimidated….2 Civilans walked over to request this information, but was met with resistance when L.T. James Lee & his officers jumped out of their vehicle and began to harass them, unlawfully pulling out his personal device & began to record them while harassing them, this L.T. even turned his sights on to me, came in my face and began to tap my pockets, asking me what was in them, and calling out items I had on my person which is illegal, all I was doing was recording, didn’t say not one word to him, even when he was in my face until he began to tap my pockets. This L.T. was written up and IAB was notified of his conduct, i also informed IAB that he might possibly be under the influence of alcohol, as his face looked flushed and his behavior was unprofessional and erratic, as L.T ‘s, they are held to a higher standard of conduct within the Department and must maintain professionalism around officers under his command. #NYPD
