The US Supreme Court has made it clear that law enforcement agencies are not required to provide protection to the citizens who are forced to pay the police for their "services." In the cases DeShaney vs. Winnebago and Town of Castle Rock vs. Gonzales, the supreme court has ruled that police agencies are not obligated to provide protection of citizens. In other words, police are well within their rights to pick and choose when to intervene to protect the lives and property of others — even when a threat is apparent. In both of these court cases, clear and repeated threats were made against the safety of children — but government agencies chose to take no action. A consideration of these facts does not necessarily lead us to the conclusion that law enforcement agencies are somehow on the hook for every violent act committed by private citizens. This reality does belie the often-made claim, however, that police agencies deserve the tax money and obedience of local citizens because the agencies "keep us safe." Nevertheless, we are told there is an agreement here — a "social contract" — between government agencies and the taxpayers and citizens.
And, by the very nature of being a contract, we are meant to believe this is a two-way street. The taxpayers are required to submit to a government monopoly on force, and to pay these agencies taxes. In return, these government agents will provide services. In the case of police agencies, these services are summed up by the phrase "to protect and serve" — a motto that has in recent decades been adopted by numerous police agencies. But what happens when those police agencies don't protect and serve? That is, what happens when one party in this alleged social contract doesn't keep up its end of the bargain. The answer is: very little.
The taxpayers will still have to pay their taxes and submit to police agencies as lawful authority. If the agencies or individual agents are forced to pay as a result of lawsuits, it's the taxpayers who will pay for that too. Oh sure, the senior leadership positions may change, but the enormous agency budgets will remain, the government agents themselves will continue to collect generous salaries and pensions, and no government will surrender its monopoly on the use of force. https://fee.org/articles/just-dial-911-the-myth-of-police-protection/

  2. They have only just started the program that will allow teachers to carry. The conspiracy theorist in me thinks this stinks.

  3. This is why all the cops want to do is just get people in the system/ruin peoples lives for a small mistake to make money for the various counties(Which they call "saving lives"). But when shit cracks, they flee like bitches or take forever to get to said incident. This is why now more than ever we need a police/law reform from the ground up.

  4. They now know the resource officer drove right past the gunman in the parking lot. The gunman was hiding behind a car. I don't know if the officer was arriving or leaving the school.

  5. If this was an attack on the police pension fund, the bulls of Pamplona, Spain couldn’t keep them from charging into a machine gun nest.

  6. My kids are out of school now, but both had armed police at their schools. North Texas here. This was about 10 years ago. Not sure what's in place today.

  7. "TYRANT DATABASE"… Every time you ID an Auditor – YOU MAKE HIM A SUPERSTAR… When the PEOPLE PUBLISH Your NAME and BADGE – Your NAZI ways will be PUBLIC FOREVER… Someday, your CHILD will CHANGE his Name to AVOID being JUDGED for your CRIMES – the U.S. Constitution is NOT a GIMMICK – WATCH CAREFULLY, WATCH AND LEARN…. Auditors Forever!

  8. I live in DFW and I have worked in 4 school districts at 9 different schools and everyone of them had an armed police officer that represented the city they were in.

  9. SEEING THE COPS ATTACKING AND TAZING AND HANDCUFFS ON THE PARENTS TRYING TO SAVE THEIR CHILDERN! WHY??? BECAUSE THEY COULDN'T GO IN UNTIL SPECIAL OPS CLEAR OUT? 🙄
THE LAKE OF FIRE IS FOREVER! 🔥

  10. "I want to thank XXX and YYY and ZZZ and all the goofy hat wearing slobs standing behind me in solidarity to the fine officers who kept themselves alive so they can one day appear behind me again…"

  11. They continue pointing fingers at everyone except themselves.
Is that honestly the new police flag or did you make that? 😂🤣 So absurd!
Do they think this new flag will cover up their corruption?
