Office Gus Gibbons and Stephanie Seagrave conduct a traffic stop in NMB, Probably for no visible tag that led to a suspended driver’s license. Instead of towing, they let them park the vehicle to wait for a family member.

Officer Gibbons has been on the PD sworn on March 2 2018 and Officer Seagrave has been on since January 28, 2020. I like Gibbons.

    SHE CLOSES HER LAPTOP!
    I guess all those COPS who say, "Oh, we can't close the computers, but you can't take video of our screens," are, as we knew all along, truly FULL OF SHIT!" There is nothing they can do on their computers that can't wait for 20 seconds for their laptop to wake up.
    5:00 Notice, they have three COPS with plenty of time to sit around while there are cameras around the traffic stop, but they don't have a single COP available to drive the lady's car home for her.
    6:30 "Code for _'Don't let us see you drive it.'_"
    That happened to me a lot of years ago, so I asked the COP (who was very nice, and made it clear that was what he meant) which direction he was going when he left, and he told me. Made it home, and got my license fixed the next day.

  2. NMB cops must have come a long way… when I was a kid in NMB,(I was not a good child)I use to drop off weekly payments to a NMB detective to avoid a particular group of people…

  5. Yea I've had that "code talk" from cops before and you're absolutely right. Park it, and once we leave you do what you need to do to get it home basically. I dont need to know how you do it. Officer discretion even though it's rarely used by many cops‼️

  7. They require that at the end of use you are to return the old vehicle license plate? I have every plate that was ever in my name since my first vehicle I ever registered from every state I've ever been required to register my vehicle in. I dare any of those state governments to come try to recover them. They are easy to find too. They're nailed to my garage walls

  12. myrtle beach area has always been a s'hole. I grew up in the carolinas & spent many vacations there. moved to another part of the country once I discovered there are lots of better places to live.

  18. Iowa Supreme Court recently ruled that police can't stop vehicles for the purpose of inspecting the government issued and properly displayed document (paper tag). I think putting the tag behind tinted windows might be enough for cops to claim no tag.

  23. 2 years ago that lady woulda been hauled off to jail and her kids placed in control of the state . They aint being nice just to be nice . the cops are being nice because the people are forcing them to be NICE ! I say keep the BOOT on em and watch em carefully . They're not your FRIENDS !

  25. When are you gonna do a audit road trip to Key West? All the post offices, gov. buildings, utilities and PDs on the way are right on US1 and there are several navy bases around Key West. Plus the Monroe County Sheriff is a huge dick. They like to set up illegal checkpoints and prey on and tourists and poor locals.

  37. Love your attitude! So nice to see a decently behaving auditor. This attitude justifies your right to do what you do.
    A nasty auditor is like a bad cop. Doing wrong but expects right from others.
    Keep doing what you do. And make a club for auditors with right behavior 🙂
